⚠️TW: mention of knives, self harm(i guess? not quite sure.), pills/medication

> Ever since Sabre got to the Rainbow Quest world, he has been going down a deep spiral of insanity.

> He already had sanity issues before he got to the world. He had medication that he took every day to help with it though, so it wasn't so bad. The only problem with that is: he left it back in his world. He didn't think that he'd need to take it out of his house that day when he found the tomb. Luckily, said medication, unlike most, takes a while to fully wear off. All throughout Rainbow Quest, you can see Sabre slowly losing his mind a bit more with each passing day.

> At first, it was only viewed as anger issues. Only a few outbursts every once in a while, but nothing too bad. "Every once in a while" being maybe 10 times every 5-6 weeks. Then, as they approached the times of Dark Steve being created, those "anger issues" seemed to be getting slightly worse.

> About a week after Dark was created, Nightmare had destroyed Sabre. He came back about 2 days later, holding an axe in his hand, daring anyone to get in his way. With anger blinding his vision, he had intentions on either hurting or killing the steve - with or without the help of Orange Steve.

> Sabre refused to sleep until he was able to find Nightmare. He had one goal and he was not letting anyone stop him from achieving it. It blinded him. After searching every day and night, it wasn't until a week and a half later when he was finally able to find Nightmare and confront him. I think you can already tell how that interaction went. When they got back to the Rainbow Hub that day, Sabre seemed completely calm and as happy as can be. It kinda unsettled Orange, but he didn't say anything.

> Sanity levels dropped even more when Reverse came along. He really got on Sabre's nerves. That's not really surprising though, he got on everyone's nerves with that stuck up attitude of his. Sabre's outbursts were now happening 6 times every 3 weeks. He would go out at night sometimes just to go kill a few animals. Or maybe clear out an entire field of overgrown grass with a machete. It's best not to question where he got it from, you'd only be met with silence if you asked. He tried his best not to hurt those that he cared for, but sometimes his anger would get the best of him. Never did he ever hurt them on purpose, though. He would always panic and apologize immediately after he got his bearings back together.

> Overtime, this started happening more and more. It wasn't until a little bit after they destroyed Reverse Steve when he started hearing voices in his head again. They would mimic the voices of those he knew. They'd show him things that weren't actually there. Hallucinations of people he knew from his old world. His friends. Villains that he'd already fought and killed off. They would tell him about how he was a terrible person. How he should have been the one to die instead of – so and so.

He didn't care about the villains that he was shown. When it came to them, the most he cared about was how in the world they came back from the dead. He did care about what his friends had to say, though. There would be times when an illusion of someone he knew would sit in the darkest corner of every room and just watch him. Silently judging his every move. They would never say anything to him, but they were very hard to ignore. It made him go crazy. He'd run out of the house frustrated and in tears, looking for something to "knock him out of it." He'd bang his head against the wall, just to get the image out of his head. Get them to go away. He knew those people in the corner of the room weren't real. But they unsettled him. Freaked him out. At this point, he'd be very prone to panic attacks. One little thing could go wrong and he'd freak out about it.
