down in a quiet, friendly, and peaceful city, lived quiet joyous and friendly people of course! this city was none other than Townsville. but, this city can also be quite dangerous, if you don't play your cards right that is. besides the happy folk, there were mean, greasy, nasty criminals. no matter what they wanted something out of the town. most of these vile citizens (if you can even call them that) weren't human! they were monsters! except for the odd few that didn't cause too much trouble, but what they did, oh boy, it was trouble. they weren't the most normal-looking people, but they were close enough y'know?

down at a small corner store near the city dump was a rather odd man that had lime green skin and a somewhat pointed chin along with a long pointy nose. this man was known as Ace Dennis Copular. he was no good when he came around, a lot of people feared him! (especially kids) besides that, Ace is what I would call ,, a depressing excuse for a man. he lived alone in a dump, he never tried to keep himself clean, and he was just all that "great". but, apart from that, he had pretty decent taste in music! he liked madonna, blondie, Billy Joel, but most importantly, the great band, Gorillaz. that's all that mattered. that he liked Gorillaz. he had heard a rumour that the band was in Townsville for two nights and he was pretty excited, except for the fact he didn't have the kind of money to get in, and he knew security would be wild, so he didn't bother. he was disappointed, but he was happy that they were just around, but he did think about how cool it would have been to be in the same room as the four band members, especially the bassist. oh, how he adored him! he was one of Ace's inspirations to start playing bass as well. oh Murdoc Niccals, what a guy he was.

Ace tossed the but of a blunt out of his hands and onto the curb before stomping on it and twisting his heel to make sure to really squish it. he sighed when he finished with it before entering the corner store he stood outside of. the man behind the counter looked at Ace with a nervous smile "ehem- welcome sir, uh- today it's buy one get o-" he was cut off by Ace as he walked to the slushy machine "Don't care so shut up." Ace mumbled as he grabbed a large cup and filled it with watermelon slushie. when it filled the cup, Ace leaned down and got his mouth under the nozzle before moving the handle and letting the frozen drink pour into his mouth, just for good measure of course. he stood back up properly and swallowed the sugary drink as he grabbed a lid and straw for his cup. he snapped the lid on and wiped his mouth before biting the bit of paper off the wrapped straw and spitting it out. he exposed a bit of the plastic and blew through the hole, making the rest of the paper fly off and hit the floor. he glanced a the cashier as he put the straw in the drink and sipped it. he kept that awkward glance as he made his way to the front doors and pushed them over "nine to five loser" he grumbled as he stuffed one of his hands pocket. he made his way back to the dump just as he felt a drop of water hit his nose. he stopped for a second and looked up at the sky. he squinted a little as more water started to hit him. he frowned and started to walk faster "damn it, that leak in the ceiling will be bugging me all night.." he huffed, now trying to cover his head. he scurried his way into the dump and speed walked to find shelter under his little wooden shack he lived in. he stayed under a little ledge to keep dry as it started to really come down. he sighed a little as he sipped the slushie and slid down the wall of the shed with his back to it. he sat down on the ground and watched the rain fall.

he looked to the right of him to see an arena peeking over the piles of garbage that surrounded the gated dump. he watched as lights and such lit around the building, that's where Gorillaz was playing tonight. he smiled a bit and rested his head on the shack "Mm, it would be nice to see them..maybe one day if they're still touring.." he kept drinking the slushie and shivered a bit " this rain and drink is givin me the chills.." he thought as he looked around "don't got much to keep me warm.." he thought again as he looked up to the sky again. he saw that the clouds were getting big and dark and he started to get a bit nervous "a storm.. great.." he put his head down and drank his slushie, he was halfway done it now. thunder started and lighting struck from afar. he flinched a little at the roaring noise but played it off as nothing like he was being watched or judged. a few minutes passed and it was brought to Ace's attention that there was a stray cat running around, trying to find shelter to stay dry. Ace watched and got up "shit..what do I do?.. imma try to grab it.." he looked around before slowly getting up and approaching the cat. he took his jacket off and held it out, trying to use it to grab the cat. while Ace went about his wild cat chase, he'll soon regret moving as lighting was seconds away from hitting him, let's count it.

just like that, lighting reached down from the dark thick clouds and struck Aces back. Ace screamed out from the shock and started to jolt and shake as electricity ran all through his body for a few seconds (which felt like minutes). when it all stopped, Ace laid on the ground twitching and jolting. soon that jolting and twitching turned into shivering. Ace slowly sat up before rubbing his arms, trying to warm up. was he dead? is that why he was cold? not at all.

"aw man..i-im freezin.." he sniffled. he made that face that people make when they're about to sneeze, facing the cat. since this man was so gross, he didn't cover when he sneezed and did it right in the cat's direction. when he did so, a beam of Ice shot from and hit the cat, freezing it completely. Ace looked at the cat and paused "...what? did that- did i-" he rubbed his head all confused.

little did this green imbecile know was that he had enough power to take over/terrorize the city.

to be continued.
