This day marks the 4th semester of high school. Nico who is the earliest riser wakes up and takes a shower before getting ready for the day of hell. Nico knows the smell of bacon will rise Alexei from her deep sleep.Alexei and Nico both quickly eat breakfast. Nico is in his school clothes and Alexei is in her PJs. Once Nico is finished eating he scrapes his plate and puts it in the sink, before looking at the clock.
"Alexei we have forty minutes to get to school!" Nico yells at his sister.
Alexei startles awake and runs to her room to dress. When Alexei reaches her room she throws on random clothes, consisting of a short sleeve shirt with a graphic of Technoblade and some random jean shorts she found.
"Have you taken your meds yet?" Alexei asked Nico as she got in the car.
"Oh! Shit! No!" Nico exclaims before bolting out of the car to grab his meds. Nico hits Alexei in the face in his rush to get out of the car.
"OW!" Alexei cries.
"SORRY!" Nico yells to his sister.
Once Nico returns the two quickly situate themselves before Nico takes off at high speeds so the two don't get another tardy. I-10 was hell that morning. After 2 minutes of sitting in traffic, Nico pulls off at the nearest exit and takes a shortcut to the school. Thankfully, the shortcut takes off five minutes of their ETA.
Nico and Alexei arrive at their school.
Exiting the car they sigh, "I don't wanna go to school, fuck everyone."
Nico and Alexei walk up to the door that leads to hell.
"Can we just leave and call in sick?" Alexei asks as they walk into the halls filled with crazy teens.
"No Alexei. We are already here. I'm not driving back home. I'm already tired," Nico replies.
Alexei sighs but says nothing more for the rest of the day.
Nico and Alexei walk to the car. Well, walk is a relative term. Nico walked and Alexei stole the keys from him and ran to the car.
"Hey, my car my seat," Nico says as he arrives to see his sister in the driver's seat.
"Nope. I got here fair and square," Alexei shoots back.
"Only because you stole my keys and I didn't know this was a race."
"Oh...well we're going to Starbucks bitch."
The two arrive at Starbucks and decide they don't want to go into the store. Alexei pulls into the drive-thru and quickly places the order. Within minutes the two have their drinks.
As they arrive home they see their mom and dad's car. Alexei is quickly excited by the appearance of their parent's car. Their parents left on a work trip a week ago and haven't been home since. Alexei bolts out of the driver's seat, leaving Nico to turn off the car and lock the doors. Alexei makes quick work of the locks on the doors to the house and steps inside to hug her parents.
Nico walks in holding his keys walks in and hugs his parents.
"We missed you!" Alexei and Nico tell their parents in unison.
"We missed you too, guys," Peter and Rachel say to their children, "You two should go and do something in your rooms' it's probably been a long day."
"Yep, it's been a shitty day. First, the teacher was rude. Then, the bathrooms were disgusting. One of our classes didn't feel right. Usually, our teacher says, 'Hello Everyone! Let's start with your books out.' This time though he just started writing on the board.
"Um... That's strange," Peter says, "I'll give your teacher a call later. He probably had a death in the family. I was told his dad was sick from a virus. Hey, Nico can you drop off a package with your sister tonight?"
"Yea sure. I need to go to the post office anyway. We'll stop by the store on the way back," Nico replies.
