music in the morning

The sun beamed into my room through my window, shining on my face, I tried to think positively about the day ahead. Getting out of my bed and stepping onto the cold hardwood floor, I scanned my watch. 8:34 am, "Time for music, I guess," I said slowly and quietly in a groggy voice.

I started to find my earbuds and my phone. Touching the lines on my black camo phone case made me sense like I was home again. Unraveling the hair tie that I borrowed from my younger sister off of my earbuds, then straightening the cord out felt like a daily routine. Finding the end and plugging it into the small hole on the top of my phone, putting a bud into my left ear.

Lightly pressing the metallic button on the right side, swipe up, and type in my password. 2510, why did I choose basic math as my password? Stupid, anyone could get in easily. The screen magically opened to a picture of a city alley, and my finger moved to open Spotify

'Good morning.' The homepage excitedly spoke to me.

"Hmm," escaped from my mouth as I tried to settle upon a playlist to listen to. 'On Repeat.' I selected. My finger then landed on shuffle play and the music aroused in my mind.
