Chapter Five : A Fallen Town

That same evening at the Dale's Suite...

The paramedics had came to check on Craig, Maggie and Me. The three of us are sitting gurneys, getting examining on our scrape wounds from the explosion.

"I'm glad you three are okay." Meredith said, relieved. "What the hell happened?"

"The Scarecrow had a trap here in the Dale's Suite." I tell Meredith.

"I traced a burner phone here, but actually, The Scarecrow, is toying with us." Maggie said.

"The Scarecrow was here." I said.

"How do you know?" Craig asked.

"Before I lost my conscious, I saw a pair of men gray boots. My eyesight was a bit blurry, but I saw the boots." I said.

"That's good, Violet. That's very good." Meredith said to me with a small smile. "I'll inform my Dad. You guys go home and composes yourselves."

"Okay." I said.

Meredith walks away. Craig, Maggie and I exchange worried looks at each other.

BENTON HOME

I slowly walks inside, closing the door behind me. I slowly walks inside the night living room.

Jonny turns the light switch on. He and I exchange looks at each other.

"Violet?" Jonny said, walking up to me and hugs me. I hugs him back. "Are you okay? What the hell happened?" He said, gently pulls away from the hug. "Was it The Scarecrow?"

I look at Jonny, bewildered. "Maggie told you?" I asked him.

"Yeah. She phone called me and told me what happened." Jonny tells me worriedly.

"Jonny, I'm fine." I reassured him, slowly walking away.

"The scrape wounds on your face says otherwise." Jonny said to me, worriedly. "This is exactly why I didn't want you to become a special agent."

"Jonny. Becoming a special agent was my choice. I thought you were okay with it." I said to him.

"I want to be okay with it, Vinny. I really do. But I don't want to be worried about you walking out that door and not knowing whether or not you're coming back home or not." Jonny tells me, worriedly.

Jonny and I exchange worried looks at each other and he sits down on the three seat sofa.

"I don't want to lose you, Violet." Jonny said to me, worriedly.

I slowly walks up to him and sits down beside him on the three seat sofa. "You're not gonna lose me, Jonny." And gently cups his face with my hands. "I know you, my Mom and Dad, Boni and the guys are worried about me walking out of a door and not coming back home, but I am, Jonny. I'm coming back home." I reassured him.

"Just be careful, okay?" Jonny said, worriedly. "Please, be careful."

Jonny and I exchange calm looks at each other. I gently nodded and gently cups my face with his hands and we share a kiss.
