As his parting gift before he leaves for his mandatory military service, Jin released his collab with Coldplay, "The Astronaut". It's a bittersweet reminder for his beloved fans that while all astronauts have to leave, they eventually return home. The music video is filled with heartwarming references shared between Jin and ARMY alone, depicting Jin as an alien who is taken in by a young Earthling girl who shows him the meaning of "family", who he eventually comes back to as his newfound home. While Jin is gone, the little girl has to learn to ride her bike that they always rode together on her own. From the moment I saw and heard "The Astronaut", I knew I wanted to draw it, to repay even an ounce of the love Jin shows us. So Jin, I'll ride on my own until you get back, and I'll hold you in my heart until we can ride together again. ♡
