"Ma'am?"
Roseanne looked up from her laptop at the flight attendant standing by the aisle with tray in hand.
"Mhm? Yes?" Roseanne replies.
"Would you want some refreshments?" The FA asked with a smile.
"Hmm, just black coffee, please. Thank you. "Roseanne smiled politely. The FA nodded before walking down to the galley to prepare Roseanne's coffee.
"Up until here, you're still busy?" The brunette popped from the door of her first class cabin. Mischief and slight annoyance shone from her wife's eyes as Jennie took note of the open documents and folders on Roseanne's table.
"Sorry. "Roseanne replies apologetically, slight pout on her bow-shaped lips and eyes rounding, "I'm just trying to finish this up before the plane takes off. So when we arrive in Dubai, it'll just be us and our vacation."
"Promise? We're supposed to be having fun! "Jennie quirks an eyebrow, pinky outstretched.
"I promise." Roseanne says. She wraps their pinkies together before leaning over and kissing Jennie's knuckles in their little promise ritual. Jennie does the same.
"Okay. I'm holding you to that. "Jennie smiles before she gives her wife a soft peck on the lips. "I'll go back to my seat. Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, and a jewelry heist are waiting for me." She wiggles her eyebrows before walking back to her own cabin.
The FA comes back soon after with Roseanne's coffee.
Cracking her back, Roseanne gets back to finalizing and tying up her loose ends, near manic energy fuelled by Arabic coffee and the picture of their hotel room in her mind. She's desperate for this time away. Time to relax with her favorite person in the world. So, she pops her knuckles and types away until the plane is finally taking off.
From the moment the plane takes off, Jennie's excitement permeates the whole first class section. Once the seatbelt signs are off, she's happily bounding to Roseanne's own cabin and squeezing herself in the, admittedly spacious, seat.
Roseanne laughs, "Love, I don't think this is safe." She makes sure to secure her arm around Jennie's waist in caution.
Jennie pouts before she huffs into Roseanne's neck. "You should have asked them to seat us in the middle aisle so we could sit next to each other. I miss you eh!"
The pout on soft lips pressed against the skin of her throat, making Roseanne shiver lightly. She runs her knuckles against Jennie's spine, feeling her wife melt further into their impromptu cuddle. Lucky that the first class seats in Emirates had closed off sections or else some annoyed businessman would have given them the stink eye already.
"It's only been, "Roseanne looks at her watch, "2 hours since we got onto the plane, love."
"2 hours too long to be a whole 5 feet away from you! "Jennie argues back, pout deepening.
Roseanne giggles. She leans down to capture her wife's lips and, God ,Jennie is too good. Roseanne is nearly overwhelmed by the rush of affection she feels for her wife. What better feeling than knowing that she's about to spend the next two weeks, relaxing and enjoying, with her wife? Her wife. Sometimes, Roseanne had to pinch herself just to make sure that this life of hers wasn't some sort of hallucination.
Arms tighten around each other as they kiss softly. The sigh that escapes Jennie's lips to brush against Roseanne's own makes the lawyer clutch at her wife harder. Their kiss would have probably deepened further if not for the slight cough from the door.
"Ma'am? Dinner service is about to begin. May I ask if you are ready for your appetizers?" The FA said from the closed door.
They broke free with a giggle. Jennie's nose scrunching and the corners of her eyes crinkling in happiness Roseanne finds herself turning into mush for her wife. Her wife.
