"It's so hot outside" Cheryl started to complain as usual

"I know we should go do something" I replied hoping it would take our minds off of how close we were to going back to school. even if it was only the start of August, it still meant it was the last month of freedom before we were forced to go back to hell also known as school.

"How bout we go swimming in the sands" Cheryl suggested.

The sands was the small lake we had in our little town. it was a really nice lake actually. the only problem with it was that it was surrounded by huge houses. it's basically where all the rich people live. and that wasn't so bad but the thing is, you had to have a house in the sands to actually go swimming in it. so me and cheryl usually just snuck in and went for a quick swim before we could get caught.

"That sounds like a great idea" I replied and went to get my bathing suit.

After we both had our bathing suits on, we grabbed our penny boards and headed to the sands.

When we got there, we decided to walk in the beach for a bit since there was people there and we didn't feel like getting in trouble.

"Hey! Do you live here" one of the girls on the beach yelled at us. she wasn't a teenager though. she looked like she was in maybe her mid 30's. She was pulling out the weeds that had grown in the shallow part of the water. then it hit me, she must be a Winton.

The Winton family owned the sands, they were basically in "charge". you did not want to be caught swimming by any of them.

"Uh no" I answered quickly. hopefully she wouldn't freak on us. I mean we were only walking on the beach. it's not like we're not aloud to enter the sands at all right.

"Then what are you doing here" the girl said with a lot of sass.

I had to think quickly. which wasn't that hard, I was good at lying.

I thought of my friend brianne. she lived in the sands, right up the road from where we were actually.

"We're going to our friends house"

"What's you friends name"

"Brianne Smith. she lives just up there" I replied trying to sound as innocent as I could. fortunately it work Cuz she said we could keep walking.

We walked till we reached the cemetery. "hey look a path going into the woods, lets go explore!" Cheryl yelled with excitement.

I thought about it for a second and thought, why not! I'm always up for a good adventure. "sure why not" I answer with a smile and followed Cheryl down the path

"We've been walking forever when are we gonna go back" I whined. it was getting really humid and the mosquitoes were really bad.

"Let's just walk a bit longer and then will find our way out ok?" Cheryl asked obviously annoyed.

"Fine" I pouted.

We walked for a bit longer. This part of the path had a lot of twists and turns, so I was getting kinda tired.

We were turning around a corner when something caught my attention, something I had never seen before.

I could tell Cheryl was surprised to cuz she was just starring at it.

I had no words for what I was looking at. All I managed to say was...

"woah"
