Chapter 14

Monday - Morning

The company hasn't been the same ever since the robbery day. Jeongyeon had an online meeting with the Japanese sponsors they were sad about what happened and decided to help the company financially. It made everyone optimistic about working for the next few weeks. They need to work on marketing as much as they can and they are capable of doing it.

Sana entered Chaeyoung's office with a smile "you need to read those reports, sir"

"Cool. put them on the table and leave" he said coldly without looking at her. Sana's blood was boiling he hasn't been the same ever since the confession day. She grabbed her purse and rushed to the kitchen. No one knows, not even Momo, that Sana keeps a hip flask with her. She took a sip of her favorite whiskey. She rubbed her neck because of the burning sensation in her throat. She doesn't like Chaeyoung but why does his ignoring her bother her that much?

The night wasn't as calm as Momo wished it to be. Asahi's whines and cries echo in the small apartment while Sana was ignoring him.

"I don't get it! Why do you refuse to hang out with him?" Momo argued "he is bored! He wants you!"

"I am not in the mood!" Sana fired back, she walked to the kitchen and opened the beer can while Momo carried the depressed kid "I can't go around with him! What if someone from the company saw us? We would be exposed!"

"I don't care about that company! All I care about is this kid" Momo yelled a bit before she walked to her phone. Asahi has been crying for more than ten minutes now.

'Chaeyoung, can you come over? I need your help' she sent to her savior.

Asahi was silently watching TV when the doorbell rang, he was the first to reach the door. Momo opened the door and gasped when she saw Jeongyeon with Chaeyoung.

"We were together, that's why," Chaeyoung said while pointing at Jeongyeon after seeing Momo's shocked expression. Chaeyoung squatted to carry Asahi who was more than excited to see him "What's wrong? His eyes are swollen!"

"What are you two doing here?" Sana asked as she entered the living room, she glared at Momo whole glared back at her.

"What's wrong?" Jeongyeon asked as he sat on the couch.

"Asahi needs to spend time with Sana but she is refusing to! She is also becoming alcohol-"

"No, I am not!" Sana exploded as she snatched Asahi from Chaeyoung's arms "I told you I am afraid that someone might see us!"

"I am your boss and I overlooked the fact that you have a child. Do you think the employees have the power to do anything harmful to you?" Jeongyeon pointed out. Momo smiled with herself at his objective point of view "go and live your life with your son Sana. Enjoy the quality time with him"

"I agree" Chaeyoung added and he finally had eye contact with Sana after ignoring her for weeks.

"It's still six o'clock, let's take him to the playground" Sana rolled her eyes and nodded as she felt defeated. Chaeyoung was preparing Asahi while Sana was in the bedroom.

"Do you want to join them?" Jeongyeon asked Momo who nodded right away.

Asahi was holding Sana's hand as they walked on the sidewalk to the nearby playground. To say that Asahi was more than happy is an understatement. Chaeyoung was walking next to him, he was shocked when Asahi held his hand too. Jeongyeon and Momo were enjoying the view from behind them.

"They look like a family," Jeongyeon whispered to Momo. 

"Sana would strangle you if she heard you" Momo joked causin Jeongyeon to laugh "she can't get over her husband's death. She changed a lot and I wish she can get therapy and heal"
