"Hello?" "Hello..." The voice responded. Everything was still, and quiet, except for the breathing that came from the other line. "Do you have the wrong number?" The girl, Casey Becker, awkwardly asked. She didn't feel so comfortable with strangers calling her at 11pm at night, out of the blue. It was creepy.

"Why? Who am I talking to?" The person seemed to have a voice box on, since they sounded very monotone. "Shouldn't you know the person you're trying to reach?" Casey suspiciously questioned. Is this dude seriously trying to pull a joke on her?

"Well tell me your name, and maybe I'll know" Again there was a pause before Casey pushed off of the kitchen counter, and walked to the couch in the living room. Sitting down, she sighed. "Look I would really appreciate it if you'd just stop trying to get my personal information." A deep chuckle was heard from the other side.

"I'm not. I'm just trying to know the person I'm talking to." She scoffed into the phone, and hung up. "Creeps. I swear, people these days have no shame whatsoever." She criticised, while pushing play for the horror movie to begin. Realising she had forgotten the bowl of popcorn on the kitchen table, she got up and dragged her legs into the kitchen.

"There you are!" She mindlessly said, as she gripped the bowl.

Snapping her head back to the phone that was on the sofa, she walked back into the living room and picked it up. "Hello?" Annoyance was very present in her tone. "I guess you were right, I did contact the wrong person" Sitting down slowly, she squinted her eyes. "So why'd you call again?" "To apologise" Laughing a little at this she dismissed him. "Well you're forgiven, bye now" Before Casey could press the hangup button, he interjected.

"Wait wait! Don't hang up." He desperately pleaded. Casey smiled at this, as it was funny to her "What?" "I wanna talk to you for a second" Raising an eyebrow she said "Uh- They got nine-hundred numbers for that, cya" Hanging the phone up a second time, she turned her attention back to the movie, as it was already five minutes in.

Fifteen minutes went by, and Casey had gotten up to cook more popcorn, as she had run out. Pausing the movie, she went into the kitchen, and grabbed a pack of popcorn. Placing it into the microwave, she set the time to two minutes, and pushed start. While waiting she heard the phone ring again.

*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*

Picking the phone up in frustration, she annoyingly repeated the two first words she had said before. "Hello!?" "Why don't you wanna talk to me?" The person, or guy is what she thought, sadly said with a bit of hurt. Getting even more suspicious, and cautious, Casey slowly, yet calmly asked "Who is this?" Looking at the popcorn in the microwave, it said 1:34 more seconds till it was finished.

"If you tell me your name, I'll tell you mine" He suggested. Scoffing a little, Casey replied with "I don't think so"

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

Walking over to the microwave, she opened it and grabbed the popcorn, closing the door right after. "What was that?" "Popcorn" She cheerfully said, while shaking the packet. "Popcorn?" He questioned, "Uh-huh" "I only eat popcorn when I watch movies." "Well I'm making more popcorn for the movie I started, because I ate the first bowl rather quickly." Casey explained, as she finally opened the packet, and poured it into the bowl.

"Oh really? What movie?" Being intrigued by the girl, he awaited her response. "Oh, just some scary movie" She informed, now leaning against the counter, actually finding this conversation half decent. "You like scary movies?" His voice lowered a weebit at the end. "Uh-huh" "What's your favourite scary movie?" Playing with the knife's next to her, she thought for a little moment.
