The rain

It was a rainy Sunday at hogwarts. Sirius and Remus were in the dorm, Peter in the kitchens, and James was standing in the courtyard.

Why? Because he likes the rain.

Regulus was walking through the corridors when James saw him. Running over to the younger boy, James grabbed his hand, trying to pull him into the rainy opening, despite the boy's protests.

"Come on, Reggie," James whined, giving him puppy eyes.

Regulus sighed. He could never say no to James when he did that. "Fine," he sighed.

Cheering slightly, James finally pulled the Black into the rain. He then started dancing goofily, causing them to start laughing.

James watched Regulus laugh. Bloody hell, he's so cute. Bad James, that's your best friend's brother! Still, he smiled slightly, still watching him. He started dancing again, rain falling down his face, much to the other boy's amusement.

Regulus watched James make a fool of himself, thinking. Oh my merlin, he's adorable. Regulus shook these thoughts out of his head. That was his brother's best friend, and his mother would be furious. She already hated Sirius for his relationship with Remus.

But at that moment he didn't care.

Grabbing James' hand, he began dancing with him, the rain still pouring down on them. By this point, they were both soaked to the bone. Despite that, James spun him around, both laughing, before he pulled him close. James was slightly taller than Regulus, so he looked down at the boy, both staring into the other's eyes.

James glanced down at the shorter boy's lips, before smirking. Now or never, he thought, before closing his eyes and leaning down to connect their lips in a gentle kiss. Regulus was shocked for a moment, before he too closed his eyes, kissing back.

Both boys didn't care about anything but each other at that moment.

Rain continued to pour in the courtyard and on the boys, but they took no notice, too focused on eachother.

They pulled apart, smiling at each other, before locking lips again.
