chapter three / the dragon chooses,
matters not who𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 her lovely breakfast with Aegon, she rushed off to the dragon pit with Aemond. Aerea had snatched him from his room and led him there, since Silverwing hadn't flown in ages. Rhaenyra allowed her daughter to ride the beautiful old beast. When she got there, the guards had put two saddles for the pair of them. Aemond sat in the saddle behind her as he watched Aerea connect her temple towards the dragon's nostril. She was whispering words of encouragement in High Valyrian, he smiled softly at the girl. She walked to the side and Sliverwing helps her up onto her back. "Are you ready?"
"I believe I will be, thank you for this." Aemond whispers into her ear as Aerea breathes in sharply, clearing her throat with a nod.
"Silverwing! Soves!" She calls out as the keepers move out of the way for the beast to fly up into the clouds, making sure her passengers were safe. They flew over the city as Aerea giggles, flying had always been one of her favourite things to do. Ever since she accidentally claimed the old beast, she never spared any second with her feet on the ground. Of course, that made Saphira jealous but the two dragons bonded with mutual determination to keep the little blossom safe from any harm. "Are you feeling alright, uncle?"
