Where'd all that time go?

Confusion

Y/n woke up. The table they were on rolled out of  tube and y/n immediately sees that there are vines and roots growing out of the cracks in the ground. The previously pristine amd white room was full of plants and was filthy, as if no one had entered that room for multiple years at the very least. Y/n got off of the table wondering where the doctor went. After all, he must've been alive, if he wasn't who let them out of the tube? Y/n ran out of the room, stumbling at first but then turned into a full on sprint. They ran out into the hallway hoping for awnsers, people, anything to tell them what happened. The hallways walls was the same as the previous room, roots and plants growing rampant through the walls and ground. Most of the windows had been destoryed in some way but you could still barely see through them. Outside the hospital which used to stand a beautiful town only stood houses with plants and weeds growing overthem. As if, no one had tended to them after many years. Y/n started getting concerned. What hppened? How long was I asleep for?
