Chapter 2

In which Y/n is ~Flustered~ and also goes to university

"Y/n, Oliver's sleeping with you tonight." Lain said, smirking as your face lit up pink. You buried your face in your legs, trying to hide you flustered state. Lain walked out pleased. She was going to get her sister a boyfriend. And Oliver would be good for her. Y/n got changed into her pj's and pulled her laptop out. She watched Jujitsu Kaisen, simping over Gojo. (Ahem @pbj_book) Y/n loved anime, and always loved the interesting stories and romances she felt she would never get.

Oliver walked into the room to Y/n hugging a pillow to her chest, her body illuminated by the laptop screen. She smiled and patted the bed next to her. She ended up falling asleep on Oliver's shoulder, him putting the device away, and admiring the sleeping girl. He laid her down next to him, hugging her waist tight to his body for warmth. He was starting to like you. Juuuusssttt a little.

~The next morning~

You woke up to strong warm arms surrounding your body, and you snuggled into the body behind you before realising who it was and falling of the bed. Oliver sat up abruptly, before realising what had happened, and laughed. "Are you okay Y/n?" he asked in his deep, husky morning voice. You nodded and yawned. You just stood up, and got back into bed, not ready to face the morning yet. Oliver chuckled and left the room.

Soon after, the smell of breakfast wafted up to your room. You sprung out of bed and rushed downstairs. Oliver was cooking food and making drinks to everyone's preference. 'Absolute score!' you thought. The rest of the group members came down slowly, and everyone had breakfast. Lain suggested you all go to an arcade for the day, and you nodded along with everyone else, despite not knowing how to play arcade games.  

Everyone got dressed for the day and headed to the arcade in two cars. When you reached there, Leos and Lain rushed off, and so did Lauren and Axia, leaving you and Oliver alone. "You know, I don't know how to play any of these games." you said thinking aloud. Oliver looked at you in shock. "I must show you then!" the rest of your time spent there was Oliver showcasing his skills on games, before convincing you to play a few. When he taught you, he put his soft, long fingered hands over yours to guide you. This certainly made you flustered. When Oliver got bored, he messaged the chat something and turned to you. "Wanna get icecream?" he asked.

When you reached the shop he already knew what he wanted. "I'm going to have matcha icecream, how about you Y/n?" you chose your favourite flavor, you and him discussing whether cup or cone was better, and finding out more about eachother.

Later, when you looked at the time, you realised you had been talking and reminiscing with Oliver until two! "Oh shit! I gotta go! I have a seminar today. See you round?" Oliver nodded, smiling. "I have one soon too, nice to be of your acquaintance Y/n."

When you reached your seminar, you still couldn't stop thinking about Oliver. You had only just met him, but you were already infatuated. He had the most gorgeous hazel eyes, and soft, long, ash-brown hair, that had tickled your neck when he had been helping you in the arcade. You were usually a focused student, so when you were spacing out during class your proffessor was worried. She listened to your vent, and gave you some advice. You then headed to the library to study.

Oliver's Pov 

When I reached my biology seminar, I couldn't stop thinking about Y/n. Her entrancing e/c eyes and her sweet smelling h/c hair. She had such a sweet smile. Oh how I wanted to fall into that smile and never return. I want to be her world. I want her to be my world. She is so kind, and smart, and amazing. I have never fallen in love before, but I'm pretty sure that is what I am currently experiencing.

Y/n's Pov

Looking around the library, you were going to try something Oliver had suggested. There were personal defence lessons that had intrigued you before, but you had never gone to. You walked up to the door, and knocked. You walked in, and were surprised to see your childhood friend teaching the class. She waved you over, and started introducing you. By the end of the day, you already knew so many techniques, and had made more friends. You were already so happy at this day, so it was so much better when you got home and Oliver was there. He smiled at you. "Hey Y/n, I have a surprise for you." He said pulling something out from behind him. "I already asked Lain for permission, and got her supplies." In his hands was a small black female kitten. He was so happy when your eyes lit up like there was a spotlight on you. You softly picked up the purring mess, cooing to it and fiddling with it's silky smooth ears. You embraced Oliver in a warm hug. "Thank you so much." You said, and he patted your head. "No problem. I just thought you might like a little companion. She doesn't have a name yet by the way. "I'm going to call her Midnight." you decided.

The rest of the afternoon was spent with you and him playing with the kitty and talking. About anything and everything. Studies, food, animals, travels, anything. He revealed to you that he wanted to travel someday, and see the beauty of other places, but he just needed someone to  do it with. And in that moment, god you wished you could be that someone. But it was not really all your choice to decide. Midnight twisted around your hands, nibbling them and pouncing on them. She seemed to tire out quickly though, because she soon curled up and fell asleep on Y/n's lap. Y/n was tired as well, and she soon drifted off, falling asleep on Oliver's Shoulder.

And he....

.... rested his head on yours and fell asleep.
