'What an unpleasant sunrise, it starts the day with a hot wind forcing me to wake up.'

Her head hurts again, yesterday's night was long. 'Layla come down for breakfast!" She wanders downstairs still feeling dizzy, a few tears roll down her cheeks as she eats her breakfast, "Thanks, mother". She leaves her house at 7:30, her usual path being her way to school however, today, she'll take another one. Her throat feels sore and her clothes stick to her like glue, a disgusting warm sweating atmosphere greets her once she steps onto the train, voices so loud, since when has she been feeling so tired again? How she wishes she could enjoy a good sleep in her cozy bed. She can feel another person's gaze, was there something on her face? Or was it her greasy hair that put this person off? The baggy and by now probably dirty clothes or her dark eye bags? Layla risks a glimpse. This girl's dark pigtails.. that's right, Mona Megistus from her astrology club. Layla has always admired Mona, her beautiful appearance and her knowledge about the stars is amazing. Layla's eyes begin to twitch, she can't hold herself on her feet anymore and sits down to nap a little. The voices quiet down and her body feels at peace.

She awakens to somebody shaking her body slightly, her messy hair covers her view but a middle aged man seems to talk to her. "I'm sorry could you repeat that?" She politely questions. "Miss, where do you plan on going off? Somebody else asked me to remind you of your destination to prevent you from sleeping through it. We're currently near the "playa de las estrellas" would this happen to be your stop?" Layla gasps and thanks the man, her eyes widen at the thought of missing her stop today and even though she's exhausted she rushes out of the train, reaching the exit in time. Her jacket weights her down, she takes it off and carefully places it on a bench near the train station, along with a note. Tears start to form under her eyes as she walks towards the beach. Her body feels heavy and she wishes to sleep again, but there's something that makes her keep going, soon, she can rest. It's been an hour and her sore body is close to reaching it's limit, yearning for sleep yet again. But the cold breeze gently stroking her face let's her heart pound, soon it is time, the hot sun is going to set soon and Layla can already hear the waves of the ocean. She manages to carry herself to the beautiful cliff and her heart pounds at the sight. The sun is finally setting and Layla can't help but smile. "What a beautiful sunset, it ends the day with a cold breeze making me feel all relaxed again" she says to herself. Layla sits down on the edge and patiently waits for the sun to be gone, the moonshine gently shining on her face and the countless stars give her the sensation of relief. This exhausting day filled with unpleasant warmth and noise has finally ended. Layla finally feels free and she lays down on her side, still staring at the night sky. One particular star, glowing as bright as the moon, named 'Sirius A' catches Layla's gaze. "This star in particular.. it reminds me of somebody. Her name is Mona Megistus. How I wish I would've talked to her more, the very few words we exchanged meant a lot to me.." Layla's smile slowly drops and she begins staring at the ground. Finally, she places one of her hands onto her heart and starts sobbing. The cold wind only cools her salty tears more and she looks up to the sky again, desperately searching for the bright star. Her heart pounds again when she see's it and now her emotions finally get set free. Layla screams through her tears, if only fate was on her side! Her tears drop from the cliff and Layla slowly calms down again. She takes one last glance at the bright star and slowly closes her eyes, stepping towards the edge of the cliff. The waves splashing against the sharp stones beneath her are like music to her ears, the cold breeze hugging her tightly. She finally takes the last step

But just as she suspects to fall she feels a gentle hand with a pleasant warmth wrapping around her wrist. Layla opens her eyes and turns around swiftly, towards the person who's now deeply looking into her eyes sending her on a rollercoaster of emotions. She feels awkward and confused and somehow also nervous, her heart pounding yet again. Before any of them can exchange a word Mona hugs her and pulls Layla close to her. Layla feels Mona's gentle hands on her back. She slowly closes her eyes and before she knows it she feels herself getting sleepy again. But Layla feels different than usual, she feels peaceful and calm. Is it death? Has she died? Layla feels like she's getting carried and slowly opens her eyes, revealing someone carrying her towards a doorstep. She closes her eyes again, but this time she doesn't sleep, she's just enjoying the moment, Mona who carried her all the way into an apartment bridal style now gently puts her down on a bed. Layla opens her eyes to meet with Mona's and Mona greets her with a smile. Layla finally opens her mouth and starts talking: "..thank you, thank you Mona", Layla's heart is still pounding at the sight of her, and Mona on the other side slowly drops her smile and starts tearing up, Mona pulls Layla into another tight hug and sobs onto her shoulder "Why *sob* Layla.. You *sob* mean so much to me why did you *sob* try to end your life.." Layla tightens their hug and whispers into her ear: "You know before you saved me I thought that the stars were against me, never was there anything that I would've rather done than be with you. Don't worry about anything and sleep well, alright?" Mona breaks off the hug and puts her hands onto Layla's shoulders "You are going to spend the night with me and we'll take some vacation off from school." Mona says while gently smiling. "I would love that. And one more thing-" Layla moves in closer "I like you a lot Mona. No it's more than that. I love you Mona! You remind me of the brightest star in the night sky and just seeing you fills me with so much joy, you're truly amazing. Atlas you were even my saviour and I could never thank you enough. Mona I truly fell in love with you and I think that you're amazing. I just love you so much!" Layla catches for breath after happily confessing to her, and Mona gently cups Layla's face with her hands, her thumb stroking Layla's lip, she inches closer and connects their lips. Mona tears up again but this time with tears of joy, and Layla enjoys the kiss just as much as Mona does. Their gently and soft kiss ends and they both happily fall asleep together on Mona's bed, cuddling with each other.
