It kinda turns into a partners in crime theme at one part of the story
Two young children, both five years old, always thought romance was the cutest thing. They would make their dolls (rocks) live romantically together and be happy. The children were so similar, but they lived in nations that hated each other. Anna (one of the children) would express how she wanted to go to that country, but her parents did not like that, so they threatened to put her in an orphanage. They would never do that of course, it was just to make her not say that again. It didn't stop her from dreaming about it though. As Anna got older, she knew her parents couldn't hold her back from going to Ariland anymore, and although they didn't support her decision, She still went. There was where she met Thomas.
Thomas was the other child that loved romance. His parents were the same as Anna's, not letting him speak about Peachestan. And he would also dream about travelling there, to see how bad it was, according to what his parents had told him. But he never got the chance. Even when he was old enough to make his own decisions, his parents forbade him to ever stepping foot in Peachestan and threatened to disown him if he did. So he never left Ariland. Until the day he met Anna.
When they first met, Thomas was in love. He thought she was very beautiful, how her brown hair flowed gracefully in the wind, how her emerald eyes glimmered in the sunlight. How genuine her smile was. He loved her. As the days went by, Anna and Thomas grew closer. To the point they started dating. Anna hadn't told him she was from Peachestan though, and was scared to admit that. But she grew the confidence to confess to Thomas about where she's from, accepting that this could be the last of their relationship. Soon enough, Anna told Thomas. She was surprised at how accepting he was and that he always wanted to travel to Peachestan.
A week later, Thomas had most of his things packed. He told his parents he was going on holiday but never told them where, they didn't care that much though and never questioned him. The train ride to the airport was a long one, but with Anna with him he didn't mind. Approaching the airport, Thomas's worries began to sink in. He was afraid that Peachestan wouldn't accept him because he's from Ariland, but Anna reassured him and told him everything was fine. Boarding the Airplane was no struggle, everything went smoothly and they arrived in Peachestan safely. Once they arrived at Anna's house, everything started to go downhill.
The bombs being dropped by Ariland were becoming a much bigger problem than they thought, food was running out and people were starting to find out that Thomas was from Ariland. The couple became more hated everyday, so they decided to purchase guns for safety. Which was a very good idea. One normal day, the couple suddenly heard guns firing outside their house. They looked out the window to see the police shooting down the building. Thomas was about to get arrested. The couple quickly ran to the safe where their guns were put and took them. Cautiously, they went back upstairs, guns in hand ready to shoot. The second they got back upstairs one of the police broke down the door and the couple shot him immediately. The man screamed in agony as his almost lifeless body lied in a puddle of blood. Anna shot him once more to ensure that he died. They both ran outside and started firing aimlessly, killing all of the police officers. Then they ran. Far away.
Soon enough there was wanted posters for them everywhere you went, but they were so good at hiding, President Peaches had to get her elite army to go hunting for them. Thomas and Anna had run deep into the woods, but to this day nobody knew their precise location. Peaches army starved invading every part of the woods until they found Thomas and Anna. And they found them. After a month of hiding, they were finally found. But instead of barging into their "home" (it was sticks, rope and leaves) the army ambushed them and knocked them out.
When they woke up they were in a room tied together with someone questioning them, it was Peaches. "How did you two meet?" asked Peaches. They both stayed silent. Suddenly they heard a zapping noise and Anna screamed. "Fine! I traveled to Ariland where I met him." said Anna. "Don't you know it's forbidden to travel there! The consequences are horrible." said Peaches. They both stayed silent. "I'm assuming that because you two had guns, you knew it was illegal for Thomas to be here and wanted to ensure your safety?" asked Peaches. "..Yes." Thomas whispered. "But you still brought him to this country anyway, having in mind the dangers that could occur?" Peaches asked Anna. "Yes but-" "Right. So because you both knowingly broke the law you will be put on a death sentence. Both of your deaths will be put on display for civilians to see." (anne boleyn style). Thomas and Anna stayed Silent. Tears filled their eyes as the room filled with silence.
The day of their execution began. It was a gloomy day. The skies were gray and the grounds were wet. Hundreds of people from all around Peachestan came to see. People threw tomatoes and shouted boo's st the couple. Thomas and Anna were terrified. The faces on the crowd were full of disgust and betrayal, mostly for Anna. As they were approaching the guillotine they were silent. That was it. They accepted that this is the day they die. There were no tears for them to cry.
"I love you" said Thomas. "I love you too" said Anna.
