The brunette crossed her legs, tapping her fingers against her table. Sasha hummed a song, blissfully smiling.
Her ponytail moved back and forth in the summer breeze.
She closed her eyes, taking in the sweet, sweet smell of the food coming her way.
The waitress walked up to her, holding two plates. One with a salad, and the other with chicken with a side of mashed potatoes.
"I hope you enjoy!"the waitress said, plopping the plates down on her table.Sasha stared down at the food, clapping her hands together."Thank you!"
She grabbed her fork and began to eat a bit of her salad, just when a small boy sat down beside her, his elbow resting on the table, holding his bald head up.
"Hey there bacon, what's shaking?"Sasha gulped down a piece of lettuce, looking at the boy blankly.
She awkwardly chuckled."Hi?"The boy wiggled his eyebrows, flexing his muscles."So, how about you finish up and me and you go dancing- down town?"he asked, leaning in a bit closer to Sasha's face.
She tensed."How about you go over with your buddies,"she pointed to a boy with blonde coconut hair, and another brown shaggy haired boy standing next to each other,"and let me eat?"
The boy's face flushed."A-ha-right then..!"He stood up and walked over to the two boys she pointed to earlier, head held low.
Sasha sighed."Wait,"she called,"come back."
His head perked up, a toothy smile on his face. He waddled back to her table, wiggling his eyebrows again."️Yes?"
She took out a slip of paper and wrote her number down."Here. Since you made me laugh," Somewhat laugh, she thought,"I think you deserve at least my number."
The boy grabbed the paper and looked at it. His face was red. He ran over and hugged her, which she didn't expect at all.
Taken back, she awkwardly patted his back."Haha.. Okay, well, see you later, I guess?"
The boy nodded."My name's Connie by the way!"
"Sasha."
"Sasha... Oh and, sorry if I interrupted you eating. My friends dared me to come here and- and try to 'pull you'."
Sasha laughed, covering her mouth with her hand."Okay, but next time you try to 'pull' somebody, try to be more creative with your pick up line."
Connie nodded once more, his face turning a deeper red."T-thanks for the pointer! And thank you for your number!"He held up the paper, waving it at his two friends.
Sasha cocked her head."I'll be expecting a call from you soon. I don't want to think I spent the ink in my pen for nothing."
"I won't let your ink go to waste."Connie tried winking, but closed both his eyes at the same time.
"I hope you won't. Alright, now can I get back to eating?"she asked, sarcastically.
"Yeah. I'll call you later!"
She waved."Bye."
"Bye!"
