Che'nya and Y/N sat on the sofa in the Ramshackle dorm, watching their weekly Friday night movie, Grim, as per usual, was upstairs in the bedroom sleeping with it being midnight. Tonight's movie was "A Silent Voice", Che'nya's picked it because it was one of Y/N's favorites, and they hadn't seen it in a while.

Instead of watching the movie, Che' ya was watching Y/N, who fell asleep on his shoulder not all that long ago.... She was lovely even in her sleep. He couldn't help the small smile that crept out along with his softening eyes.
He was madly in love with her, his best friend.

He adored her bright smile and the way her eyes lit up when she saw something cute or when she ate sweets.

He loved her laugh, it was like music to him.
He draped his tail over her waist and pulled her down on top of him when he lay down so she could sleep more comfortably.
He twirled her hair around his finger, gently playing with it.

He loved how she smelt too.
He loved her hair, her legs, her chest, her waist.
Every little thing about her, he adored with all his heart.

He brought up the few strands of hair he held to his lips, and closed his eyes, just enjoying the moment they had. He wanted more moments like these every day, he wanted to make her smile, laugh, and just enjoy life, and enjoy being herself.

He wanted her to be his, his alone, and no one else's, his to hold, smother in love, to hold, to make her smile. He wanted all that to himself.

"Soon..." he whispered, he then placed a kiss on the top of her head and dozed off as well.

"I'm sorry Che'nya... I-I just don't like you that way, there's someone else I like..."

Y/N and Che'nya were in the maze in Heartsabul's backyard, she was in the maze's center, back against a tree. Earlier that day she received a note, asking her to be there later after School.

She couldn't look him in the eye, and neither of them spoke; all that could be heard were distant birds chirping, and the wind blowing.

Che'nya smiled with his eyes closed, to keep from letting a few tears slip, and took a step back, "Aaa~ that's okay. I wish you luck with the lucky guy!~"
Before Y/N could respond he disappeared into thin air.

A few weeks had passed since then;
Y/N was hanging out at the lounge with Floyd, the one Che'nye deemed lucky.
Unknown to anyone, but Che'nya followed the two around when they hung out invisible.
There was obviously some kind of more-than-friends, but not a romantic relationship between the two, Che'nya wanted to keep that relationship from blooming as much as possible.

Ever since he was turned down, even more of his thoughts contained Y/N. He wanted her, he needed her, he craved her. Every look, fiber and everything she had, he desired.
He was madly in love in the worst way.

Yes, Y/N and Che'nya still hung out, she couldn't drop him as a friend, he was too sweet and kind for that. A gentle soul who wouldn't harm anyone, in her eyes.
O, boy was she wrong...
