POV: YANNIE
3 years later...
I've always hated my body. To name a few parts I especially hate are eyes, hair, arms, the list goes on and on. Why? Well, people at my school always seem to point my eyes out, saying how bad they look with my glasses. It's not my fault that the glasses shop was out of 'cute' glasses that go with my eyes. They also say how out of style I tie my hair, but what's wrong with wavy hair in a bun? On top of that, people call me Freak, Nerd, Glasses Girl, and many more. And well, I have to experience it again after 2 months. Why? It's the first day of school. Ugh.
As I walked through the halls, I expected nothing more than the usual, as always, I am correct. I felt the pain in my chest, and my need to cry, but nothing would come out. I just trudged towards my classroom while the chain of insults came at me. "CHANGE YOUR GLASSES!!!" "MAYBE IF YOU WERE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE YOU WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE!" Quite the normal.
"Ok class, partner up for this project!" said Mrs. Han, my english teacher. As always, no one would come near me, so I just worked on my own. I liked that. Working on my own. But as soon as I took out my notebook, Mrs.Han said to me,"Yannie dear, would you please work with Leo on this project? I know you love working on your own, but this project requires you to get to know another classmate!" Oh no. Leo was one of the worst. He always made a point to get to class earlier just to spread rumors and talk bad about me. I forced a smile and said," Of course Mrs.Han." I tried to keep my cool, and walked towards Leo's desk, knowing he would never come near my desk, as it was "full of flies" . Hopefully this will be quick and simple. Again, I forced a smile and said, "Ok Leo, what's your favorite food?"
This was going to be a long hour...
