You walk along  the docks of Liyue Harbor, the smell of salt water and the sound the merchants trying to sell their fish reminds you of home, strangely enough. You've lived on the edge of Liyue harbor your whole life, and after being away for collage, you can finally return for the warm summer. 

You smile, walking past a toy shop you know your brother loves. So many memories. You think.

When you reach your large home, two guards greet you at the tall iron gates. They both nod, and you walk inside.

The house, more like a castle, was white, and had strange gargoyles decoration the roof. The black roof remind you of all the summer night you'd spend up there, laying, reading, smiling, thinking of how happy you are, the cool breeze tickling your neck and bare arms. But your smile would fade, thinking of the archon wars so many millennia ago, and how much pain they went through.

"Y/n!" your brother cries when you walk into the front doorway. "It's been so long!" The runs up to you and wraps his small arm around your waist.

"It has!" you reply, squeezing him. "You've gotten so big!"

"Nanny says i've grown 3 inches since I last saw you!" He says proudly.

"Thats great!" You smile, trying to hold back a grimace. It hasn't been that long, has it?

"Leave your sister alone, son." Your father says, coming in from nowhere, wearing his usual fancy attire. Your parents run their own business, what it is exactly, your parents never bothered to tell. You know its strange, but you never thought more of it. "Y/n. Good to see you." He nods.

"Y/n! You must be so tired from walking! Why didn't you call me?" Your mother runs up to you, and hugs you, giving you a huge smile that lit up the large room.

"Hello mother!" You say, beaming with happiness.

"Here, take her bags, wont you?" She asked a maid who stood at the base of the stairs.

"It's fine," You say, but your mother insists.

"So, has anything changed?" You say after a moment of you, your mother, and brother sharing smiles, you dad of course, neutral.

"Not really." Your brother says, shrugging.

"How about we get some iced tea?" Your mother suggests.

You smile, signifying that was a good idea. 

You and mother sit in one of the many balconies that had a perfect view of Liyue Harbor.

"So what's happened? Tell me everything. It's been so long since we've talked." You lock eyes with her and sigh.

"Well, I have a boyfriend now-"

"You do? What does he major in? Is he hot? Is he rich?"  She bombards you with questions.

You laugh. "I do. English or history I think. Kind of? Not exactly handsome, more 'cute'. And yes?"

"What do you mean 'Yes?'."

"I mean, I guess he is. rich, I mean. His name is Xingqiu. We both share the reading hobby, which is nice we share the same favorites. He's staying at his friend Chongyun's house for the summer, not that far away."

"That's amazing honey!" You both grin, and notice how dark it was getting.

"Well, you best get some rest! You have to tell me more something soon, i'll be, er, working tomorrow." She gets up and walks away, a maid soon after comes and takes the two empty glasses.
