Start Early

2 1 1

I believe that if you are to reach your true potential you have to make a plan. Start by asking yourself some questions?
1. What do I want to be when I grow up?
2. When should I start preparing for my future?
3. How can an early start enhance my future?
4. What kind of future do I need?

Let's now answer these questions or rather put them in perspective .
The question of what do I want to become can be a hard one. I say,  choose something that makes you happy, not what your parents wants, it's not their dream or future it's yours and you have to live in it. Choose a career that you love because if you don't your going to be sad and resentful and angry and your just going to hate your job. Find your niche. Research different careers, research best paying careers, research careers for introverts or extroverts or even best paying careers without a degree because a four year degree is not for everyone . A trade school might work best for one child and for another it might be to start his/her own business. Whichever you choose is up to you. Remember you want to create your  best life so start by choosing what you want to become.  Secondly, I think career preparing should start seriously in middle school and when I say seriously I mean prepping for SAT, so you can have a shot at a good college, exploring different career trends, do a college tour or look up program offering from different schools but don't sit around and do nothing. Remember you focus should be on creating your best life. Put a time on it also while your exploring different careers . Give yourself a time to achieve this, set a date and I mean  say, " I will be a nurse by the age of 25".  Even better, write it down, create a vision board , add photos and specific dates and put it somewhere in your house or your room where you can look at it everyday. It will be a reminder of what you want to achieve.  Thirdly, an early start sets the pace for greatness. I say this because, the earlier you realize what you want your life to be like then, you will start preparing to be in that life. An early start means that you are being proactive , an early start means you are prepared, an early start means mental preparedness, an early start means taking extra lessons, an early start means you will get that scholarship, an early start means that you are making moves towards your future , an early start means that you are ready to win but most of all an early start sets you apart from everyone else. This final question can be answered in many ways. I say that because ,everyone has their own opinion of what they want their future to look like. One person might want to be a pharmacist and another might just want to be a office attendant but the path you choose will determine the amount of work you need to put in and the kind of life that it will afford you. Do I need a future where I can afford whatever I want or do I want a future where I live paycheck to paycheck . The choice is yours. Whatever your choice maybe, ensure your going to be happy with it.
