My mind just wouldn't shut the fuck up about this idea last night, so here I am!

A remake version of my old Nooest High School AU! (how unoriginal... there are like 4 of these already.) after like a whole year of absence. I abandoned this account for a new fanfiction website lol, but I am back again. Probably...

I am pretty unsure about this fanfic, as in I don't write that many stories, especially romance. And I haven't planned to become a fanfiction writer since my vocabulary is not that good. But I'll just participate to see if my writing improved. And also for the sake of other Nooest enthusiasts who still crave more of these.

It's just like any other school day, on a Monday morning. Almost every student inside the classroom was already seated. And across the room, was booming with loud chattering, and laughter. Students hang out with their friends. The others texting on their phones, and the others laying their head down on their desk and taking a nap. Overall, It was very noisy, as usual.
Their teacher hadn't arrived yet at this hour, so they decided to have a little free time before the class started.

There, sat a teenage boy at his desk alone in the middle of the classroom. With his palm covering his chin, his elbow propped onto the table so that he could keep his head supported. His head was tilted slightly, as dark cerulean irises looked down at the reflective tiled floor, seemingly buried deep in his thoughts. And completely ignoring all the loudness from his classmates surrounding him. It has always been a habit of his. He has a yellow skin tone. Wore a blue shirt with two white stripes at the end of his sleeves then a red and white 'R' logo stitched on the right side of his chest, along with a pair of yellowish-green pants. It was his everyday look so there was nothing really interesting.

He's usually a talkative, friendly, energetic kid who would dominate a conversation almost instantly. Almost. This extroverted nature of his just happens whenever he's around his closest friends, although he seems awkward at first interaction.

"Noob! Didn't you hear?"

A voice next to him, well known, called out to him. Noob then turned his gaze away from the floor and traveled toward the person. A cheeky grin on his face. He wore a dark blue T-shirt with a black illustration of a motorcycle, overlaid with a pitch-black jacket. Black jeans, sneakers, and grey-like concrete skin. He calls him Bacon. They have been friends ever since he learned his ABCs. The reason for this nickname was mostly just because of his hairstyle. His friend disapproved of it and said it was such a stupid nickname. But slowly grew onto him either way.

"A new kid is coming to our class soon!" Bacon said.

Noob's head then perked up at the mention of the new student. He was genuinely enthusiastic about the arrival of the new kid, maybe he could even befriend them too. Most of the students were pretty excited to see a new face, some of them were even curious about what they looked like, and some of them probably planned to bully the new student. Which was saddening.

"Oh yeah! It sounds exciting!" Noob smiled.

"Uh-huh, and they're coming by tomorrow." His friend responded.

"Okay! Settle down, settle down..." Unfortunately, their conversation died down when the familiar voice interrupted the students chattering through the doorway. As the loudness of the classroom immediately cooled down, their teacher finally stepped through the entrance of the room.

Most of the students start rearranging their desks back into place properly, putting their phones away into their backpacks.

"Good morning, everyone." The teacher greeted in a monotone voice, walking over to the corner of the classroom where a desk sat there. They put away their things on top of the table and picked up some chalk.

"Alright, so for today's discussion..."

They began writing something about the lesson on the chalkboard. The class had already started. Noob started hastily rummaging through his backpack. Only to pull out his notebook. He just follows along with the lesson for the rest of the hour.

-

Noob could barely even remember what happened, the day just passed like a blur. The rest of the students had already gone on their way home since it was 3 in the afternoon. The school had ended for the day. So, he and a few students were the only ones left inside the classroom.
He sighs, scratching his head. But just before he was going to put his belongings back into his backpack, a person suddenly started patting his shoulder. Which made him flinch, Noob quickly turned his head around to take a quick view of this person.

"Hey, Noob! Wanna walk home again?"

It's Bacon again.

"Sure! Just wait a sec."

"Kay'!"

They soon leave out of the classroom, now walking on the sidewalk to make it to their way back home as the sun is setting down. It should be a 30-minute walk, they decided to have a conversation to fill in the silence instead of just pure boredom on the way home.

But Noob was now almost reaching his destination, so he moved ahead of Bacon and parted ways. Both waving each other's goodbyes, now Noob was walking all by himself once again.
It didn't take that long to finally walk up to his own house, unlocking the front door as he struggled to take off his shoes. He walked inside and threw the pair of shoes to the side of the entrance. He let out a sigh of relief, as he let his backpack slowly slide off him. He missed feeling the familiar presence of his own home.

"Mom?! I'm home!"

He yelled out across the short empty hallway, but a dim light was shown on the opposite side. Implying that someone else was present.

"Is that you, Noob? I just came back home with groceries!" A faint womanly voice spoke up from the lit room.

After such a long day, he decided to get some rest. But of course, not on an empty stomach. His mother had just come back with groceries anyway, so it would be a waste to skip dinner before heading to his bedroom. Noob made his way to the kitchen area, where he was greeted by paper bags packed with snacks, vegetables, and ingredients placed on the granite countertop, and a slightly tall feminine figure who was facing the fridge. Who looks identical to him, the difference is her magenta-colored hair pulled up in a bun. His beloved mother.

"Hey, mom." He smiled, receiving a hello, sweetie.

"What should we have for dinner today..?" She asked herself. Or to Noob, he couldn't tell.
Noob quickly switched to the living room to simply put his bag down on the red couch before going back to the kitchen.

His mother was now standing by the counter, unpacking the groceries as he sat down on the metal stool nearby. His mother just eyed him, then smiled warmly.

"Did you do well at school? Don't forget to turn in your homework, I was told you missed a few assignments." There was a small hint of disappointment in her tone at the end of her sentence, but it was still gentle.

"Oh... Uh, yeah! I think I just forgot to do them." He always does.

Noob's mother had a questioning look but decided to drop it anyway.

"Well, that's fine! School might be a little exhausting, but please don't forget."

-

"Night, Noob!" His mother said.

Noob entered his bedroom with a yawn. He had finished dinner and was done changing into his favorite pair of pajamas. He flopped onto the bed. Groaning, but came out muffled by the pillow on which he laid his head. He then shifts into a new position to lay in, nuzzling his face deep into his pillow before falling into a deep slumber.
