HER SHOES sunk at the snow which laid underneath her feet. her fingertips lined light red within the pockets of her beige sweater, her eyes shifting to the dry, wet leaves which littered the streets with it's colour. her feet were planted stiffly at the cold pavement she strode across the street painted with wet snow. lose strands of hair littered her pale forehead and she shuddered within the t-shirt which hugged her torso loosely as the winter wind blew roughly.

sung hae — eun never asked herself why she would always be awake at these ungodly hours of the night, striding about upon the pavement, most of the snow already melted and pooled across the leaves. now, however, snow drops kept spilling from the clouds. it had almost scared her, once thick snow would block her view.

she sat herself at one of the bus stops, plucking out her phone to listen to some music to calm herself. the sung felt the seat shift side of her and she turned her eyes to meet with a rather tall boy, yet she was certain was younger than her. he returned to gesture and smirked back at her. she shuddered.

" what's your name? "

she returned her eyes to her fingers which fought amongst themselves, clearly stating that she was nervous. she answered, however, not wanting to seem rude, " hae — eun. sung hae — eun, "

" i'm hwang jae jun, "

hae — eun noticed that jae jun reeked of the ungodly smell of alcohol and cigarettes. he wore a loose gray tank top which stayed under his collarbones, and pitch dark hair which blanketed over his sweaty forehead ( although it was rather cold ). he seemed almost unfazed at the way hae — eun would frown whenever he shifted closer to her. she bought her right hand at her face, " o—oh! i'm running late! was rather nice meeting you jae j—jun! " the older sung sprung from her seat and jogged away, failing to notice how the once gleeful grin—or perhaps, smirk —painted across his lips faltered away and was replaced with a scowl. a frightening one.
