Y/N Pov

Your eyes flickered around the large room, Hagrid was described my McGonagall as a tall burly man with crazy long black hair and a beard. It was your first time having flown out from the USA, though being a bit stressful, it was also exciting. London was always on your bucket list of places to visit. Though you didn't think that there would be much time to sight see as the school year begins in just a week.
"Yeh mus' be L/N." A thickly accented man's voice stated from behind your family.
You, your mom, and Zander had been covered for the flight. None of your muggle friends were able to go, though that should have been obvious. It had made your stomach churn when realizing you would have to leave all of your beloved friends behind. Of course, even though most of them were fake it still left a twinge of pain in your heart.
You whirled around to be met with essentially a giant. Your mom let out a soft gasp and grasped onto your hand. Zander quickly hid behind your mother.
"Now, now... No need to get all jumpy." The man took out his big hand to offer a handshake, "name's Hagrid."
"Ah- Y/N, L/N Y/N!" You introduced while quickly shoving your sweater to your mom to shake his hand again. "Of course you already knew that!" You stumbled quickly over your words. You took his hand and allowed him to shake hands with you. Hagrid was much taller than you imagined and didn't blend in with the crowd whatsoever, yet no one really gave him a second glance surprisingly enough.
"Yes. Once we leave here we will send yeh stuff to the hotel. Then after tha' we will be goin' to the Leaky Cauldron to go to Diagon alley where yer will be gettin' yer school supplies." He announced.
London was even better than you imagined, the streets were bustling with people of all different ages. The place was compact with different buildings. Hagrid used some sort of spell to get your bags into the room, to your surprise. There was no way you could adjust to finding out magic actually existed that quickly. To think that you were a witch? Amazing, you were living every little girls fairy tail. A life full of magic.
While your mom and brother stayed at the hotel, Hagrid offered to take you to Diagon Alley today. Your mom, still suspicious of him, allowed you to accompany the man to collect your school supplies. Shocking. She had always been really protective of you. The wizard who was tall enough to be considered a giant led you down the street. He went on and on about how much he loves Hogwarts and how the students really enjoy being there.
The foreign country was interesting, you were not used to hearing so many people with British accents. Before travelling, a transfer student to your old public school was the only one with a British accent you heard.
Hagrid turned and stopped at a door to a building with an old sign at the front that read: The Leaky Cauldron. It was certainly unusual indeed. However, it got even more strange when he opened the door to reveal people dressed in foreign outfits. You furrowed your brows but kept your head down as to not get caught by someone when looking at them.
"This doesn't look like a magical store, Hagrid." You observed the room once more, your (E/C) gaze making mental notes on the building. Besides all of the assortments of clothing, nothing was really out of the ordinary.
"Tha's because yeh gotta take a closer look." He replied mysteriously while leading you out a door in the back. It was a little outdoor area with a brick wall on the opposite side of the door. On said wall were a few uneven bricks. This small enclosed area seemed it would be used for smoking like you saw sometimes back in your home country.
