I take a deep breath as she sleeps soundly on the couch of my office. She had cried a lot and I can't leave her side now.
I've asked the boys to help me put a temporary office table in our room in the castle, so I can keep an eye on her, I know she won't do anything reckless, but then again, it's Kallisto, but until then, I have her in my office, curled into a ball on the sofa by the fireplace.
I see the fire has started to dim down so I get up to add more wood to it, she needs to stay warm, her wolf doesn't keep her warm enough.

I have asked everyone who has some dirt on Jacob to come forward, I can't strip him off of his title without a proper reason and because she wasn't crowned nor married to me yet, I can't say that it was because of disrespect towards the royals.

She stirs lightly, hugging the pillow tighter and my heart hurts for this wonderful woman I call my mate. Waves of anger fill me as I recall the words he said to me as I was saying goodbye.

"I bred Kallisto in her abomination form and killed the bastard she carried in her womb"

Sure some packs still use the old method to make sure the female is indeed impregnated, but with Kallisto is different, because whatever her wolf does she doesn't remember, so he didn't simply breed her, he raped her and killed their pup. But I can't prove that Lily was a minor when it all happened and all those who did see it happening won't go against their Alpha. The log I was holding in my hand quickly snaps into half and I take another deep breath as I see my soon-to-be wife slowly waking up. I quickly make my way toward her. "Hello beautiful," I say and she looks around first trying to figure out where she is, after all, she fell asleep in our room. "We're in my office, I brought you here because I need you close" she simply nods. She hasn't talked much and I can feel her embarrassment through the bond, no matter how many times I tell her she has nothing to be ashamed of, it wasn't her fault and she didn't know better. Her wolf also feels guilty, her wolf chose to forget the memory and was able to with the help of a witch, but when mentioned, even if not to her, but to her mate, it came back hitting her like a ton of bricks. I wasn't mad at her, I could never blame her for what happened and I understand that she took in a few potions in order to forget what had happened to her. I kiss her forehead pulling her to my lap. "Did you have a good nap, my love?" I ask and she just yawns and I chuckle at her. "My pretty girl" I get up from the couch, bringing her with me and wrapping her in the blanket she was wearing. Decided to feed this little queen of mine, so I walk us to the kitchen and place her on the stool while I make us some dinner. 

"What will you make?" I hear her ask and smile at the sound of her voice. Kallisto has always been very talkative, so it hurts me a lot to see her not talking and I still need to go to her friends and brothers to give them an earful about the way they looked at her on the plane. I shrug even though I know exactly what to make and she just observes me carefully. I grab a pan out of the cabinet and start pouring some water into it, once it's full enough. I put the pan on the stove, along with some oil and salt, and grab a few ingredients from the fridge, while kissing her forehead, she looks at the ingredients on the counter and I assume she comes to the conclusion of what I am making as I hear her gaps. "You are making spaghetti!" she simply goes a few octaves higher and I laugh at her excitement nodding. She loves spaghetti and I am willing to do anything to see a smile on her face. "Can I help?" she asks and I immediately make some space for her on the counter next to me, she gets up and folds the blanket neatly and places it on the stool, and walks to the sink to wash her hands. "I am ready to help, chef!" she says and I smile at her adorableness. I give her the meat so can start seasoning that, while I am cutting the vegetables. 

Soon we are able to make a delicious dish and are cleaning up while making small talk, I try to ask her about her dress for the coronation, but she lets absolutely nothing out. "Nope, I am not telling you anything," she says sticking her tongue out at me, so mature. "But, my shoes will be gold, your mom says I must have something gold that is not jewelry," she says and I nod because the color of the royals is indeed gold, so it's traditional that the future queen always wears something gold on her. "Something about tradition, yet she never wears anything gold" she scrunches her nose in annoyance and I laugh, explaining to her that my stepmother was never crowned as she was the reason my mother left my father, it is frowned upon and my mother left before she was crowned, which is why I did not need a queen before being crowned and she can be crowned as queen because my mate left me way before I met her. 
She just looks at me like she is about to murder me and I chuckle. "You, my king, are walking on very thin ice!" She says and I shake my head at her. 

Silence fills the air again and I know we will have to talk about what happened, "I'm not mad at you" I say and she freezes for a minute, before continuing with the dishes. "It wasn't your fault" I turn to her and grab her shoulders, making her look at me, I need her to see the truth in my eyes. "and neither was it your wolf's. He took advantage of both of you and later murdered an innocent pup, but none of that was your fault, he is the only one to blame and for that, he will pay, even if it is the last thing I do. I promise you that" I can feel my wolf surfacing, I hadn't heard from him since all this happened, but I am glad he stands by me on this as well. Tears start forming in her eyes again and I pull her to my chest. "You are so strong, my love," I tell her and she sniffles into my chest. I lift her chin up and look into her eyes. "I love you, Kallisto," I say and she nods, she is about to look down again when I pull her lips to mine. If she doesn't believe my words, then I will have to show them to her.
