Honestly, it wasn't THAT bad at first. I ripped off a piece of my sleeve and wrapped it around my wound.
I looked around for anything to help me.
Nothing.
But cactus and sand.
Then I saw it.
Cactus juice!
I drank three bowls of it. It was thirst quenching. Cactus juice! Its quenching!
So I started stumbling through the sand. Looking to go nowhere but a safe cool place with food and water. As the sky got darker, it got cooler. I decided to sleep in the day where it's hot and walk in the night when it's cooler. Annabeth would be proud of me, I thought. Then I remembered she betrayed me.
My Wise Girl. Betraying me. Jason,Hazel,Piper too. Only Frank and Leo had sad and guilty looks on their faces.
I was so desperate I drank my own sweat.
I know. Perseus Jackson, drinking his own sweat. I sighed.
"Percy?" I heard a voice say. I turned around. My friends were there.
I took out Riptide and stabbed at Jason and Annabeth. I fell to my knees and cried.
Then I saw a light and my vision blacked.
