Personality: Kimiko acts like a broke college student during finals. She is almost always tired because of her lack of sleep so she is blunt and a bit rude. Whenever she does get a decent amount of sleep to function, she's energetic and outgoing. She is basically numb when it comes to negative emotions so it's hard to tell when she's upset or not. She basically likes to be the shining light in people's lives and see smiles on their faces. Because of this, she likes to joke and tease a bunch of people she's close with just to see them smile.
Devil contract?: Mimic Devil
Pros/strengths: • With the Mimic Devil contract, Kimiko can copy any ability she sees. If someone is good in acrobats, she can do acrobats, etc. She can even copy abilities from devils. • She's a skilled swords man, hand weapons, and hand to hand combat
Cons/weaknesses: • She can only remember four abilities she learns, if she wants to learn a new one, she has to forget one. But if she ever wants to learn an old move, she goes to the Mimic Devil who remembers all of the abilities and will give it back to her by replacing it. • She's not the best at speed so she taught herself how to move in certain ways that makes her a harder target to hit.
Weapons: A axe and a sword
Likes: She loves candy, specifically lollipops or fruit drops, it's a shock she doesn't have cavities. She likes to read in her free time when she isn't working, her favorite genres are romance and adventure. Kimiko likes to sew as well, so if someone's favorite clothe is torn or something, she fixes it. Sea creatures are her favorite type of animals, whales being her most favorite.
Dislikes: She hates sour candy, so she avoids lemon flavors and other sour flavors. She can't eat anything with cinnamon in it, not because she doesn't like it, it's also because she's allergic to it. She isn't a fan of dogs, she has a bad history with them so whenever she sees a dog, she just starts getting uncomfortable. Her fear of insects are worse, she can't handle bugs of any kind.
Love Interest: Aki Hayakawa
Fun facts: • Lives with the Mimic Devil, Rose. • Is neighbors with Aki which is how they first met each other. • She is knows how to take care of wounds no matter how bad they are so she is known as the team medic.
Backstory: Kimiko's family owned a funeral home so she always grew up around death. At first she was scared about all the bodies she sees but soon grew used to it that death was just part of her life. Because of her family owning a funeral home, she has heard a bunch of stories of how people died. Including people that were apart of the Public Safety Devil Hunter. She always admired the Public Safety Devil Hunters, thinking they were good people who got rid of devils who harmed humans.
When Kimiko was a young teenager, the Ghost Devil had attacked the funeral home in a way to try and hide from the Devil Hunters. Kimiko was at school when this happened so she wasn't aware of the danger her parents were in until she got home. That's when she saw how the Ghost Devil trapped her parents. She tried to run from the devil but it caught her and trapped her as well. Kimiko tried to call for help but it didn't work and as punishment for her trying to draw attention to them, the Ghost Devil killed her parents in front of her and then was going to go kill her next.
Before the Ghost Devil could kill her, the Devil Hunters arrived and stopped the Ghost Devil before it could even lay a scratch on Kimiko. The Ghost Devil left Kimiko and quickly rushed off but not without getting badly wounded. Makima soon arrived to the scene to see that Kimiko was there over her parents dead bodies, her emotions were filled with shock, sorrow, grief, and many other negative emotions that her body didn't know what to do.
Makima chose on that day to bring in Kimiko to be a Devil Hunter, the deal was that Kimiko helps her group kill a bunch of devils for Makima and in return, she would have a home and any word about the Ghost Devil so she could end it herself.
Kimiko still has trouble sleeping at nights after the accident, the scene would always be on replay. She's numb to the memory after a long time of it playing over and over but it would always drain her energy since nightmares still keeps you exhausted. She's fine with the idea of dying at any moment so if she's badly hurt and thinks she won't make it.
When Aki joined the Devil Hunters and moved in his apartment which is next door to Kimiko's. They were also in the same division which meant they saw each other quite often and started to grow as friends. Aki would help teach her how to cook while Kimiko kept Aki company so he wasn't completely alone.
During one of her missions to take out a devil, she met the Mimic Devil, Rose. Rose saw the depression deep in Kimiko and decided to make her a deal, to give her a part of her power and what ever she desires in return, Kimiko would help search for Rose's eye and return it to her. That day on, they made a contract and have been working together ever since, Rose even moved in with Kimiko.
