I fell asleep to the noise of the fire crackling

After the long night I woke up to sizzling I rubbed my eyes as I adjusted to the light of the orange glowing fire

"Good morning" Phil said as he stood next to the fire

"Morning" I sit up and rub my face to wake me up and move my hair out of my face

"If you don't mind me asking, what's your name" Phil finally asked- not that I wanted them to it's just they been calling me 'kid' this entire time where I am a very mature pre teen even if people say I'm "to young" I'm mature

"Umm Iraite but call me Ira it sounds better" I say as Phil nods and smiles at me

"We'll Ira, you hungry? I'm cooking eggs" that's why he was standing over the fire

"I would love some" I say as he grabs a plate like thing but it wasn't plastic it was..glass

"Be careful I don't want you hurting yourself" Phil says as he hands me the plate stacked with 2 eggs

"I will" I got handed a fork it was made out of glass I eat the egg, it was the best meal I had in a while

"We're going to the village today would you like to come?" Phil said

"Yeah" I say as Phil grabs a backpack and fills it with a blanket and some carrots

"These are for you" Phil says as I put it on the bag

"Techno got the horses your going to ride with techno ok? I'm going to stay here and work ok" Phil says as I nod

I wait until techno opened the door and asked if I wanted to go which I nod again with a smile on my face

"Let's get going, Phil! I'm leaving with the kid" techno says as Phil shouts back

"Be safe!"

We leave and I'm instantly hit with the cold winter weather

"My names Iraite but call me Ira" I say as techno looks back at me which he had to look down since I was just above his hip

"Alright " he stops near Carl as he picks me up and sets me on then he grabbed the saddle and reins and brought his foot over so he was on the horse

Once he was on the horse I hug him just so I don't fall off

"You won't fall Carl will keep you safe" techno said as we started riding

"Just making sure" I say as I let go of him and set him cape over my legs

Once we arrived in the village it got warmer as techno got off Carl I tried to get down by myself but I ended up tripping and making techno catch me

"Sorry" I say as techno sets me down

"It's fine, stay near me" he says as I nod we walk into the populated areas I stayed right by Techno the entire time

"Would you like new boots" he asked as his eyes went from the stand with kids boots to me

"Mine are fine" I say as he nods
