Finding Something Extraordinary

It was fixing to be break time and I was walking around Vale. You see, being the weakest person in your family would either make you sad or push you to be better. Me on the other hand have trouble fitting in because I end up messing up everything, expecally with Grimm encounter.

Y/n mind: Maybe I should restock on dust before I head back.

I looked up and saw a group of strange looking Grimm fly into a fog in the mountains.

Y/n: There's something you don't see everyday.

My scroll started vibrating and I started to panic a little.

Y/n: And there goes my break.

I put my scroll away and rushed all the way to the Bulkhead.

It was the afternoon and the day went way to slow. I was actually reading a book made by vikings a long time ago and it was about a bunch of dragon looking Grimm. It was lunch time so I normally just come into the library to read.

Y/n: Peaceful and quiet.

Dragons always peaked my interest but my sister's keep me from reading it when they're around me, so I come here. It's not that I hate them it's just that they're a little bit protective and adult like when I'm around. I heard footsteps and quickly put the book behind me.

Y/n mind: Alright! Play it cool this time and they won't find out.

Ruby: You've been in the library the whole time?

Y/n: I just wanted to study up on some stuff. I ate before coming so you don't have anything to worry about it.

Yang: It's almost time for combat class.

After a few minutes I checked my scroll and she was right.

Y/n: Well, see ya later!

~timeskip~

It was night time and I was sleeping in a bed on the seiling hung up by ropes in between the bunk beds.

Y/n mind: The dragon type Grimm are interesting. I wonder if they still exist.

I then woke up to the sound of a high pitched noise and fell to the ground.

Y/n: Oww!

I looked out the window and saw a shadow in the sky.

Y/n: What is that?

Ruby: What's what?

All of them were awake at this point and I pointed to the shadow.

Yang: What is that thing?

Y/n: I don't know.

The shadow started flying twords the school and the noise got even more high pitched. The creature then shot at the school and we figured out what it was.

Y/n: Well, there goes my break.

I ran over to the desk and grabbed my dagger. I tried running out the room but some grabbed my hood and lifted me up off the ground.

Yang: We're are you going?

Y/n: Aww, come on! I gotta go help fight!

Yang: No! You are gonna stay here were it's safe.

Y/n: Fine.

They all left and by the sounds of it so did JPNR. I can hear the chaos outside and I had to go and at least try to kill that Grimm.

Y/n: I know what she said, but this might be my chance.

I grabbed my dagger and ran outside. Everyone was screaming and the Grimm was destroying the school, so I looked for a high building and spotted the CCT Tower.

Y/n: Bingo!

I ran to it and found a convenient staircase going all the way up. I put my dagger in it's sheath inside my jacket and started climbing.

~timeskip~

I finally made it and took out my dagger looking for the Grimm. I couldn't see anything for as second until I spot it's shadow again. I aimed at it and timed my throw, then I threw my dagger so hard it actually hit it.

Y/n: Holy crap... I actually hit it!

I watched as it went down into the Emerald Forest screatching in pain.

Y/n mind: I better hurry up before Yang and Ruby find out I'm gone.

I climbed down the latter again and everyone on campus was surrounding the tower waiting for me.

Y/n: I'm in big trouble aren't I?

RWBY nodded and I nervously scratch the back of my head.

Y/n: At least I hit the Grimm.

They started leaving and I started following them.

~the next day~

I was walking around the Emerald Forest and looking for the Grimm. Yang and Ruby told me that I was grounded but you're still grounded if you're not caught.

Y/n: I still can't believe I hit it, but what's the point if you can't find what you hit!

I punched a tree branch and it came back smacking me to the ground.

Y/n: Ow!

I jumped up to my feet and saw the tree broke, I then saw a dirt path.

Y/n: found you!

I followed it and saw the Grimm tangled in vines with a crack in it skeleton like armor, I then noticed my dagger were the crack was. I walked up to it and took out my dagger breaking half the armor off revealing it's emerald green eyes and jet black skin.

Y/n: I can't believe I got it!

I then put my foot on one of its legs.

Y/n: Not so tough are y-

It interrupted me by kicking my leg off it and I landed by a nearby rock. I got up and looked at it's eyes as it graled except it sounded more defeated than threatening.

Y/n: I can't let you hurt more people. Sorry.

I got ready to finish it off and saw it growled as it put it's head down closing it's eyes. It accepted it's fate and I closed my eyes to make the pain less painful. After a little bit I just dropped my arms and sighed.

Y/n: Who am I kidding. I can't kill you if I wanted too.

I grabbed the vines and cut them all off in one cut, but the Grimm pined me to the rock with it's front arms.

Y/n: Whoa!

I looked at it and all I saw was rage. It pushed me to the ground and gave me a ear piercing roar, it then ran off. I got up shaking from the experience and grabbed my dagger.

Y/n: Why didn't it kill me? Wait a minute, did a Grimm just spare me?! What's going on?

I started walking back to Beacon but I passed out.
