CHAPTER 1

WARNING: BULLYING AND THOUGHTS OF SUICIDE

Ha-Joon POV

As a kid, I never once felt normal.

Mom and dad would fight constantly, I would always see the red string that was attached to their fingers, so tightly connected to them...slowly...breaking...apart, until one day it snap, that's when mom had it, she left me and dad, it was okay though, dad...he was a good dad, he never once showed me how lonely and sad he was, so I didn't either.

I lived in Australian until I was 14, that's when dad finally decided to move back to Korea.

At first I was excited...I was so happy I was going to make new friends, meet new teachers...Well that didn't go as planned...ha..ha

"Hey! loser! get over here"

"Guys you're gonna make the Aussie kid cry again"

"those freckles, they're so gross, just like you"

Every...single...day...I can't take it anymore...wait...I can't make dad worried, he never once put a sad face and made me worried, so I can't do the same thing to him.

"Joonie, how was school?" Dad smiled at me

I smiled back

"Good"

I went to walk upstairs, when dad stopped me

"Joon, are you okay?" dad looked worried, all I did was turn around and smiled at him.

"Of course dad, why wouldn't I be?"

"I know the move must've been a shock to you, but I really missed it here"

"I know dad, I love school, I made friends and I'm happy here, way happier than if I was living in Australian, dad don't worry about me, I'm fine"

As I'm looking back, I should've told dad everything that I was going through...or maybe not, even now, I'm just as confused as I was when I first moved to Korea.

As time went by, the beating I would get from my classmates, the insults I would hear from them, would make me want to...wait I can't make dad worried.

That's all I would say in my head to make me stop these thoughts pacing inside my head, honestly it would help...a lot.

"Why don't you just go back to Australian!? your Korean is already horrible!"

"I heard he doesn't have a mom"

"She must've left, who could deal with having a kid like him"

"Please...stop" I begged

"Oh, the Aussie finally speaks"

"Please...just leave me alone!" I yelled

"Did he just yell at us?" the bully grabbed my collar of my shirt and threw me to the ground

"Yo loser!" I heard a voice echo from the rooftop

"Don't you think you should leave the kid alone already! he had enough"

The kid that spoke up for me walked toward the bullies and step between me and the bully.

"It's Kim Jeong..."

"Asshole, leave him alone!" The kid known as Kim Jeong helped me up and smiled at me.

Kim Jeong turned around and punched the bullies, beating them to a pulp.

That's it...that's how I meet my best friend, because of him my life changed, because of him, me and him became one of the best K-pop groups in Starz Entertainment.
