Chapter 49

Kei P.O.V

I woke and i looked at the white ceiling. I turned to my right and i saw curtins. "This must be the hospital." I said to myself. I sat up and open the curtins.

The nurse was checking a patients, she then turned and looked at me. "Oh good, your awake." She said.

"Um why was i put in the hospital?" I asked.

"You had a high fever and you might have to stay for a couple of days." She said. She moved out of the way and then i saw L. She was about to walk out,

"Um what wrong with him?" I asked as i pointed to L.

"Oh that kid had a few minor injuries but he's going to be fine in a couple of days." She said.

"Oh and is the press out there?" I asked.

"Yes plenty but your boss said to not let them in." She said. She left and i walked to L bed.

L was still sleeping, "And you say you could handle everything by yourself." I said to him. I walked away then he grabbed my hand. When L had pulled me, i fell on top of him.

"Ouch." L said.

"Ah sorry!" I said as i got up right away and L giggled a little.

"There's nothing funny going on." I said.

"I'm sorry." He said but then started to laugh.

"Ugh, I'm going to my bed now." I said. He grabbed my hand and pulled me a little softer then last time.

"Sit." He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Just sit." He said. I sat down and he got up.

"Your not suppose to get up?" I said.

"Its okay." He said. He was trying to make himself comfortable.

"So what do you want?" I said.

"Well i want to know why were you were crying when i fell during that mission?" He asked. I was shocked that he asked about that.

"Um i really don't know but why do you ask?" I said.

"Could it be maybe you cared about me?" He said. My face started to blush.

"No why would i care?" I said as i got up really quick.

"Then why is your face all pink." He said. I took my hand and covered my cheeks.

"Its not pink, its just hot in here." I said. I moved to my bed and sat down.

"Its not hot in here at all." He said.

"Then maybe I'm hot." I said.

"Okay then but if you cry again then I'll take it as you like me." He said.

"That is not fair!" I said. He just gave a look.

"Fine if you do that then if you try to pull me away or kiss me then I'll take it that you like me." I said.

"Deal?" I said with a smirk.

"Deal." He said.
