Chapter 3: Left Hand Man

1:00 pm

King Dice

I take myself outside at the balcony to get some fresh air to clear my mind off.
I lean on the cornice of the balcony railing wishing to have a good cigarette in my hand.

I sigh.

-You are just a "good-for-nothing Lackey" Dice... remember that you fool...yeah..good-for-nothing..- I whisper while covering my face with the hand in disbelief.

I don't know why, but that hurt me a lot, even if I don't show my emotions much after all that fight happened.. I am still angry at the Devil.. but maybe he is right.. after all I didn't stop the two kids that he told me to wipe off the face of the islands.

But now I think that it's good if I try to let it all behind me and to continue with pride just like the ol'good times.

I stay there watching the panorama in silent and relax.

3rd person

It's lunch time and everyone at the casino is having their break. Everyone except for the Devil.

He was still in his horrid office signing up the contracts and deals, which also included boredom.
The Demonic King snaps his finger and makes pop out from nowhere a big cigar -Finally, a bit of relax even for me- he spoke relieved, immediately after he lighted up the cigar and took a big breath from it, leaving a cloud of smoke.

While he  smokes his cigar, he hears a knock on the door, "it's not the usual knock of Dice but it could be him" the Devil thought. -You may come in, King - he welcomes the man with another blow of smoke -More contracts, am I right?- - No Sir..- the man answers...but the voice was different..as the big tall demon gets his head up to look at the stranger, he exclaimed with a shocked and happy look -VALENTINO?!- His tail waves from the happiness to see the person -Hello there Boss- he answers to the exclamation with a soft smile - Have you missed your old left hand man?-

Wheezy

In the casino everyone looks surprised by a presence that I have never seen before: they looked pretty young and feminine, the colour of the skin was brownish and their eyes were white and black with a heart as a pupil. The tail coat was in a brown-red colour and the gloves matched with their hat and panties. They also looked like a human but I wouldn't be so sure.

As everyone welcomes the strange person, I notice that their were looking for someone -Ey'ya need help with somethin' Mx.?- I ask curiously - Ah, yes! Do you, by any chance, know where the Boss's office a.ka. The Devil's office is?- he replies, by surprise they(?) were shorter then I thought and I tried to not look disrespectfully, but I had to kneel down a bit - 'sure I do lil'one, how come?- - I need to talk privately about something very important and it's very urgent..I've been sent from above- He answered with a very and demanding tone, I was surprised, this one was sent by God? Then it must be really important.
-Heckin' yes.... okay, follow me and don't ya mind de' imps..they might be...annoying'- I said as I "kindly" kicked the imps out the way, and then we made to the boss's office.

Valentino

Thanks to this man I finally found the Boss's office -Thank you, kind sir- I greet the big cigar man, -Ye sure, it ain't nothin'- he replied as he was leaving me to go back to the bar.
I knock on the door waiting for him to let me in - You may come in, King - Who is this King-guy? Well whatever I made my way in -More contracts, am I right?- He asked -No sir..- and as he saw me his tail started to wave..

After all the hellos and talking about all the old good memories, he starts asking -What are you doing here? Weren't you supposed to be on a mission for 200 years?- his face started to lose the smile -What happened..- the tone was off, he was worried - I'm here for warning you, Boss.- by now his smile had faded and was serious, it looked like he expressed no emotion from it. -I'm all ears Val, go ahead and explain-

With my most professional and earned tone  I say the phrase that all the celestial beings feared to hear.

- God is dying.. and a battle is needed..again-
