The first thump happened late several weeks ago, right above my head and incredibly loud. Of course, i woke with a start but with a thorough inspection..found nothing.The next night was the same,as with the several weeks that followed. Every night there was a thump and every night i was woken..looked and found nothing..During the second week I realized that it had been getting louder and soon every thump shook the entire house.
It was the end of the third week when i found "The Book" it sat there in front of my doorstep. A paperback book that looked to be severely damaged with the title "Thing's That Go Bump" poorly written onto it like a child had done it. I nearly through the book out of anger from the horrible prank some kid had decided to play. " Thumpers " are creatures that delight in disrupting ones sleep. It starts with a light thumping..eventually escalating til the noise is so great that it will shake the home of the victim. Thumpers will eventually grow bored and move on, the victim only having a month of difficulty sleep. However,female Thumpers are especially dangerous because they only grow bored when there about to give birth..and the victim can wind up food for the freshly birthed Thumpers. I had to stop there, i was done with the nonsense i was reading and tossed the book in the trash, but i wish i hadn't.
That night there was no thumping.I laid awake waiting for it hoping to catch the prankster in the act . I had stood from the bed to go investigate but i was greeted my sharp gagged teeth that had sunken into the flesh of my legs. I tried to fight off the horde of Thumpers but I was to weak and eventually fell to the ground as i got eaten alive. The last thing I saw was a silhouette of a girl holding "The Book" standing in the doorway of my bedroom.....my vision got blurry...and she grinned....
