It was a cool September afternoon. My friends and I were on our way home from the movies. I was sitting in the passenger seat of Natalie's car. Alana was driving and Sara and Casey were sitting in the back. Natalie had Lady Gaga's Poker Face blaring from the speakers.
That's when it happened. A huge semi truck was spinning of into our lane. I didn't see it until it was crushing our car into the railing. I heard screams and the sound of crushing mettle.
Once the screams died down I was in pain. It felt like my body was on fire and every part of me had shattered. I felt warm blood all over my body. I went in and out of consciousness until my body was put on a stretcher and into a hospital helicopter. After that it was just darkness.
