There are many different kinds of demons. Every kind is similar to humans in at least one way.

Take, a sex demon, for example. There were two kinds: like in body, and like in mind.

Those who were like in body would experience pain if it were inflicted on them. They had only a bit more stamina than the most durable of humans. They would not be fulfilled by emotional connection, but it didn't matter to them, as they drained their victims of energy they could never regain, leading them to an earlier death.

Those who were like in mind were prone to human-like emotion. That made them vulnerable. Despite the flexibility in their bodies, their strength and durability, their tolerance for pain to a drastic degree, they were susceptible to manipulation. To some degree, of course. They were only as naive as one could be with free reign as far as they pleased.

Song Mingi, a demon like-mind to humans. A body built to please, which he prided himself on. He was wild. He belonged nowhere, but he believed he did not need to. He had never been denied what he wanted, as his instincts were never wrong.

Bodies moved around him. The lights were dim in this place, but the music was loud, filling every ounce of space with sound. He could feel the bass in the floor under his feet.

He loved parties. He liked the crowd and the excitement. He became accustomed to the behavior of humans, their urges and how easily they would give in to them. He liked to watch . And sometimes, he liked to stir up his own mess. His energy came from these types of places, the kind overflowing with untamed sexual energy. They were all over each other already, drinking, kissing, dancing, some things that looked like they were meant to be dancing, but did not quite cut it- the works.

Usually, in this scene, he would let his instinct guide him. He could sense need, smell desire of a specific kind. But sometimes, very rarely, his curiosity outweighed instinct.

For some time, he'd had his eyes on a particular human .

It was the first time he'd ever felt the need to tread lightly, and that made him buzz with excitement. He faced a form of vulnerability he'd never once encountered before. A human who could see him .

Now, a demon could be visible to a human. If they decided to make it so, they could meet and interact as if they were human themselves, but they possessed the ability to become hidden to human eyes at any moment. The first time Mingi had caught this human's eyes on him, no one else could see him.

Those eyes saw into his own, right down to his core which soon burned hot as Hell under the gaze. He was struck. Shocked and curious, and while he wouldn't admit it, he was almost desperate to feel more of it.

What was happening to him?

Mingi's instinct told him no . This man was not like any human he'd been with. To begin with, most had been women. The rare occurrences where he'd been close to a male human hadn't been enough for him to question what it'd feel like to be in their place . But the look from this one human did.

Mingi would tame him.

He was a demon, after all. He was built to be dominant and dependable. Humans never did experience anything like him again. And, while he never felt the need to take on a challenge, he needed to know just who the man with the gorgeous sharp features was.

He was no coward. He could face a human- easily, even.

He ran his fingers through his hair, long down his neck, naturally silver. His eyes were a striking gray as well. Most humans assumed they were contacts, which he let slide.
