Chapter 10

(A new challenger approaches! Or is it a familiar face? 0w0 finally Haku's lover makes an entrance qwq )

(Haku's POV)

The two stood in shock as behind the scout stood a tall male individual. Haku immediately took notice of his lack of posture though it was obvious that he was taller. Underneath his wizard hat his messy white hair framed his face perfectly, his mysterious purple orbs stared back at Haku's dull grey ones, a lazy grin could be seen on his lips. He sported a simple black cape.

"Well, little one. You didn't tell me I would be working with such cuties.~", he says in a very obvious flirtatious tone whilst leaning on the younger scout's shoulder.

The scout merely shrugged them off, "This is Eliphas , an amateur wizard sent by the council."

"An amateur? I'm hurt! And I thought we already grew closed when you accompanied me here." , he says while flicking his wizard hat, looking bored rather than hurt.

Haku could feel his eye slightly twitch though he was sure the scout's patience snapped in the moment as they decided to turn their backs and take off flying immediately.
Haku and Erasmus let out a sigh as the other taller male merely gave them both a bright smile.

"So! Where are both of your reports on the recent pressing matters? Hmmm?", he says with a closed eye smile as he walk over to the messy table with his arms behind his back.

He reached out for the papers but Haku stepped infront of Eliphas before he could touch the table.

"The reports are done but I would prefer if you took matters more seriously." ,Haku says politely.

Erasmus let out a frustrated sigh. "Forget it, Haku. Let him go over it. I'mdone with it anyways.". The other boy walked off and headed down towards thebeach chairs to rest.

Haku was about to go after Erasmus but Eliphas's voice made him stop in histracks,

"Sweetheart it ain't worth it to go after him.", he says as he nonchalantlyskimmed through the papers. His purple eyes narrowed at parts of the report. "Thisneeds to be double checked. Come with me, darling, since this location is notfar from here."

"..." , Haku brows furrowed in concern for their friend but that was quickly goneas a slight pressure could be felt right on his forehead. He blinked from the action."Wh-What was that for....?"

Eliphas let out a small smile, "Worry doesn't suit you, darling. So quit yourworrying. Your friend will be fine and this is your report that has an issue."

Haku blinked again. This was the first time he had made a mistake on his reports.Eliphas chuckled.

"You truly have the most interesting reactions. Not everyone is perfect, sweetheart.",he said whilst waving the report in his hand.

Haku couldn't help but be annoyed by his casual tone.

"I appreciate it if you would stop calling me names such as that of intimacy.My name is Haku." , the shorter of the pair said as he walked past Eliphas. Thetaller one let out a boisterous laugh and adjusted his hat and snap his fingers,appearing right in front Haku.

"Nice to meet you, Haku. I am Eliphas.". Says the wizard to the slightlydisgruntled horned male.
