I screamed, I shouldn't have under the circumstances but I did. I felt something pull at my legs, down, getting deeper and deeper until I was at least 20 feet under water. Then I realised, the creature had led me here instead of hurting me, none of them had harmed meh. Was this my purpose here? Am I a sacrifice to something?
Then I saw it, shimmering under the surface, scales. I managed to make out the shape of something like a snake or a tail? Dark! Everything went black as my lungs were on fire. All I could do was accept it, no escaping.
When I woke up it was dark, not pitch black but still dark. No longer submerged yet I was too. There seemed to be a wall between this cave place and the water. At the bottom of a never ending pool of water, in a cave trapped, not even reaching the exit on the ceiling.
I heard something in the darkness, a crack and then I saw it. A serpent-like creature standing over piles of human bones, twenty feet high and going on for at least 100. All the humans that went missing all those years ago, it must be them. Poor Jessie...
