5: The Escape from Nothing Island

Bob layed in the pies for a week, eating and pooping without getting up. But, at last all of the pies were gone, and bob began to realize his desprate circumstances. so, like the independent 3-legged kitten he was, he hobbled out of the pie pans and surveyed his surroundings. There was a large rock beside the tree, and then miles and miles of sand. Suddenly, he had an idea. He dumped out the contents of his bag- rubber bands and duck tape-and got to work. He hooked thousands of rubber bands together and fastened them to the tree with ducktape. Then came the hard part. Bob climbed onto the tree and shook. And he shook. And he shook. He shook for three days, to no avail. But finally, the coconut tumbled off the tree. It fell onto the rock and split in two. Then, bob climbed off of the tree and clawed out the coconut, leaving only the hairy shell. He fastened it to the rubber bands with duck tape and broke a long stick off of the tree. He held the stick and sat down inside of the tree. Using the stick, he pulled himself as far back as possible, and then he let go. Bob screamed the entire way back to Ham's house.
