Lexi Howard How could it be? Lexi asked herself. After many years of convincing herself she didn't like any woman she met. She found someone that matches her type. That girl was "Maddy Perez." Lexi was scrolling on maddy's instagram. "Gosh, how is this girl so beautiful." She muttered. From the perfect eyes to the round lips, she thought the beaut was perfect. Lexi had been scrolling for hours, thinking of fantasies between her and her crush. She hated how maddy was treated by her current boyfriend, "Nate Jacobs." Nate was an abusive shit asshole towards Maddy. But no matter how much Lexi or Maddy's other friends try to convince her about Nate. As Lexi rolled her eyes thinking about how she can treat maddy better way much better than Nate.
"Lexi and Cassie dinner is ready!" Mrs. Howard shouted. Lexi closed out her phone as she put it in her back pocket and walked downstairs. She sat down at the table, glaring at her sister. How could Cassie backstab her own best friend like that? After many years of knowing Cassie, Lexi wouldn't have thought that she would stoop to this level.
"Fucking cunt" Lexi looked towards Cassie and mumbled. "Lex I'm sorry okay, I know I overreacted, but I want to fix everything between us." Cassie said. "Hmm..ok" Lexi hummed in silence chugging down a glass of water. Cassie's eyes look defeated and watery. " You know you saying all this bullshit to me but not maddy, you should be apologizing to maddy not me." Hearing the sniffles of her sisters sobs. "Enough." Their mom said.
"Cass..it's fine really just leave it alone." Lexi said. Cassie understood and nodded. As the silence and time passed by. Lexi wondered back in her room, scrolling on tiktok. She got a notification from Rue.

She closed out her phone, wandering in her thoughts. Thinking about Perez. She went through her texts, debating or not if she should text maddy and check up on her. Fuck, what if she doesn't answer? What if she thinks it weird of me talking to her? Lexi overthought. Lexi finger slide towards Mandy's contact. She built up the courage to text her. Her nerves flowed through her body as her heart paced through her chest.

Lexi didn't know if she wanted to send it or not. She felt like the words from the text is too harsh. As her fingers retype the message. She heard a soft knock at the door. "Hey...Lexi you alright." Her mom said. Lexi nodded , "I'm okay, Cassie just know to ruin the mood sometimes." Hearing a chuckle from her mother. "I know lex, praying your sisters stop letting her victim size brain get the best of her." Her mom closes the door.
Lex sighs a form of relief, looking at her phone. She now finally built up the courage to send a quick message to her crush, just to check in on her.
