Suffering for only a few days

After the whole torture and eating human, or rather - his own meat, Henry fell back asleep. He was exhausted from everything. Crying his eyes out. That was all he could do, falling back asleep. His whole body was in so much pain.

When he woke up, the feeling wasn't any better. He was hungry again. Might as well start trying to walk again. That might not be very easy, since he was missing some muscles, and that is immediately a less possibility of him ever escaping.

That was his second plan. Leaving this place. It might be really fancy, beautiful and the walls just felt safe, but Henry felt like it's a trap. It must be. He is just pray to the predator. That's something that was pretty clear.

Henry sat on the side of the bed. Everything burned so much. This was not the time to give up! He tried to stand up. Holding onto the nearby wall, he managed to do that. It was painful and hard to, but he did it. Now just gotta move forward.

Stumbling across the hallway felt like eternity, but soon, he walked in another different room. He feld dizzy from how much effort and energy he has used, only to get to another room. The astetic was the same. This room looked like a living room. It had some leather sofas, a big fireplace, a bearskin carpet, which looked really fluffy and comfortable.

Walking further into the room, Henry noticed a mirror. It was a large mirror, and now, he hated looking at it. He saw himself. And that was not the prettiest sight. He was distorted. He had so many scars. A shower would be useful too. He was wearing some clothes that didn't have blood on them, which was great. It was a sweater and some sweatpants - comfortable clothes.

He wanted to cry again. Looking at all of the scars gave him flashbacks of the pain.
He wanted to smash the mirror into millions of peces.

Before he could do so, his hand stopped in air, grabbed by something invisible.
"Awh! Don't start crying now. You are a man, are you not? Looks like you can't even look at yourself in that mirror normally. The scars will heal. And if you can, don't hit my mirrors. I won't clean the glass shards out of your hands."
Squall said, sliding out of the shadowy corner of the room. He seemed to be laughing at Henry. It wasn't actually laughing, just the tone.

Thinking about what he just heard, Henry remember how he used to enjoy getting ready in front of a mirror. He looked great back then. He felt pathetic. Back then, he didn't think that he looks even a bit great. But oh goodness, he was wrong. Now he looked horrible.
"You did this to me...
I HATE YOU!"

Squall stepped back as the other fell down, trying to run at him.
"I'm sure that you do. Deal with it. I would even say that I don't care about you one bit.
But I'd be lying then, wouldn't I?"

"You would be. And from what I've heard, you're not a liar. Even if you 'care' about me..
I want you to burn. Just like you burnt me. I want you to suffer."

"Don't you think that I've had enough suffering, being away from my home for a 100 years. I've been so miserable and lonely."
Squall lit up a fire on one of his hands.
Henry felt scared. But this fire didn't hurt him. Ezra put his other hand above the flame. It looked like some smoke is rising from it.
"Don't you feel bad at all? What would you do if you were kicked out like that? We are similar in some ways, aren't we?
You remember the pain that you felt while getting burned. Why don't you stop me from this so horrible flame? It will only get bigger. It will burn you again. It will burn me. You wouldn't want that, right?"

It was true. Henry remembered. He hated to even think about someone damaging their body with fire, even if that someone was so stupid. This man was actually burning himself.
Henry reached out to push Ezra's hand away from the flame.

"If you actually hated me, would you really have done that? Didn't you say that you want me to burn like you did? It seems that you have lied."

So that's why.. few seconds, a small moment of silence until he felt like crying. He did care. He cared for 'The Wundersmith'. Before he decided to disobey Squall, he actually felt like he could become friends with Ezra.
Mayhe he still can.
