8. Flowers
Louis does message Zayn after they've finished and Harry's fallen asleep, though he has every intention to make Harry stay the night, and luckily Zayn replies that he has every intention of staying with Liam for the night.
He falls asleep shortly after, happily curled in Harry's arms.
"Wanna make breakfast with me?" He hears right as he wakes up, sunlight lighting his room, and he chuckles lightly.
"Have you ever simply said good morning?" Louis asks sarcastically.
"You know... Now that I'm thinking... I think I've only told you good morning over messages. Go back to sleep so I can tell you good morning," Harry commands softly.
"Or you could just tell me good morning?" Louis offers.
"That ruins it, go back to sleep."
Louis rolls his eyes, but cuddles further into Harry, easily falling back asleep.
When Louis wakes up again, the room smells of honey.
"Good morning sweetheart. I got you some flowers and made your morning tea." Harry's voice is soft, and his fingers gently run through Louis' hair.
Maybe, just maybe, Louis would admit that he's falling.
"Good morning," he mumbles, hiding his face in Harry's chest as he feels his cheeks heating up, though he pecks out to grab the cup of tea Harry offers him and sees the flowers Harry had gotten him on the nightstand.
Harry really got him flowers.
"You make my tea just right," he tells Harry after sipping from the cup, trying to ignore the feelings in his stomach.
Harry got him flowers.
"Good. Do you wanna make breakfast with me or stay here and cuddle a little longer?" Harry asks, his fingers still running through Louis' hair.
And the flowers Harry got him still on the nightstand.
"Stay here and cuddle," Louis answers, not taking his eyes off the nightstand.
He doesn't know what kind of flowers they are, but they're a mix of purple and dark blue flowers.
Harry got him flowers.
"They're irises. Um, purple and dark blue ones symbolize royalty, it made me think of you... Cause you know... Prince charming and all," Harry mumbles, sounding slightly embarrassed.
Harry got him flowers that made him think of him.
"I love them, princess, thank you," Louis tells him sincerely.
No one's given him flowers before.
"I'm glad you like them," Harry says, giggling lightly.
Harry's giggling while playing with his hair. There's flowers on the nightstand that Harry got him - because Harry thought of him when he saw them - and he's warm, and he's being held and... and everything's perfect.
"No one's given me flowers before," Louis admits shyly, taking another drink of his tea - that Harry made him. Harry's perfect.
"Really? It's an honor to be the first. Luckily you live close to a flower shop so I didn't have to worry about you waking up while I was gone, I did write a note for you just in case though. Now that I know you like getting flowers I'll get you more," Harry promises, placing a gentle kiss on Louis' forehead.
"I'd love that. Breakfast now?" Louis offers upon the realization that he's actually quite hungry - and that if he stays in Harry's arms looking at the flowers Harry got him for much longer, the butterflies in his stomach may get too intense for him to handle.
"Of course," Harry says, taking the cup of tea from Louis to make it easier for him to get up. Once he's up Louis takes the cup back and glances at the flowers one last time before leaving the room with Harry beside him.
"What're we making?" Louis asks, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and stretching once he reached the kitchen.
"I was thinking something simple, eggs and toast? Should we make some for Zayn as well, you mentioned he was staying with you?" Harry questions as Louis sits on the counter.
"I'll message him and ask, are you leaving after breakfast?" Louis asks, hoping he doesn't sound like he wants Harry to leave.
"If you don't want me staying I'll go," Harry answers, grabbing eggs and bread.
"So... The next Santa Clause movie then?" Louis offers, jumping off the counter to grab the toaster as Harry grabs a pan.
"Of course! But if you and Zayn need me to go so you can work on his birthday plans let me know," Harry tells him, and Louis nods before having an idea.
"Hey! You could help with that actually. We've been stuck trying to figure out what to do for food and you're bloody brilliant when it comes to food," Louis replies, taking bread to stick in the toaster, Harry leaning over and changing its setting to not burn the toast.
"If it's alright with Zayn, I'll happily help out," he says, cracking an egg into the pan.
They continue with breakfast, Zayn managing to walk through the door as soon as they've finished - luckily they made him a plate.
The three talk over breakfast and Zayn easily agrees to Harry helping with his birthday - he knows Louis in charge of food would be a disaster.
After they eat, they decide to watch the second Santa Clause, not worrying about pulling out birthday planning just yet, and Zayn pretends to be sick as Louis and Harry cuddle together under a blanket, and Louis flips him off.
As he lays his head on a pillow to watch the movie, Louis silently reminds himself to tell Zayn about the flowers later.
Cause Harry got him flowers.
