The last thing I remember before everything went black was a golden clock. 12:01 AM. The next thing I knew, I was in the living room of the place, that I didn't even know existed. across from me, lying on a couch fast asleep was James. Aaron was stretched out on the carpeted floor, and Roxie was cuddled up in a blanket on a recliner. As I took in my surroundings, I found myself staring at a huge grandfather clock in the corner of the room. The face was golden, exactly like the one that had appeared earlier! The time of day was 9:00 AM. I was surprised Aaron hadn't woken up yet, the breakfast this morning smelled delicious. I heard a yawn behind me. Speak of the devil, Aaron had just woken up, and after him, James awoke. The three of us decided to go grab breakfast and not disturb Roxie, who was still asleep.
As I walked through the hallway next to Aaron and James who were both half awake, I turned my head to look at all of the mirrors on the walls. I gasped. When I turned to look at my reflection, I didn't see my face, whatever it was that looked like me was facing forward. It was definitely not my reflection! I stopped in front of that mirror to further inspect it, and was scared to find that there was no longer a reflection in that mirror. I jumped when James spoke just inches behind me.
"What's up, man? Why'd you stop?" James said. I turned back to the mirror. It was normal. I was as scared as ever and I explained the situation to James, who of course, laughed at me. Aaron shuffled over to where we were to see what all the commotion was about, stifling a laugh when I told him what had happened. As James began to lecture me about how that could never be possible, I looked over his shoulder at the large mirror on the other side of the wall and was startled to see James's, Aaron's, and MY reflection glaring back at me! The three reflections held a steely gaze, sharp teeth and pure black eyes. Pink tongues flicked in and out of our mouths. The hissing just kept growing louder and louder, and I turned to look at James who had ceased his lecture and was alarmed when I saw no face on his body! Aaron was the same. The closer they got to me, the louder the hissing got. I screamed, shut my eyes as tight as they could go, and held my hands over my ears, wishing for this nightmare to stop.
I woke up, gasping for breath on the couch I was on in my dream, in the living room I didn't even know existed. As I once again took in my surroundings, I realized I was drenched in sweat, and that the others had had the same disturbing wake up call.
We all sat where we had been in my dream, panting for what seemed like hours, all with expressions of pure terror etched across our faces. I looked at the grandfather clock. 9:05 AM.
