Chapter 3

After a couple days passed Polnareff still couldn't stop thinking of Avdol. Maybe Avdol could like him or maybe even love him. The farmers market is going on this week so Polnareff is set on going. There are supposed to be beautiful new kind of tulips  straight from the Netherlands! Polnareff couldn't wait to go, so he got up out of bed at 7am. Got ready and left for his shop,so he could make sure his regulars knew that he wasn't there. He put a note on the door and left basically skipping to the farmer's.  Walked to corner store expecting it to be open at its usual time only to find it You define it closed due to Polnareffs absence. Avdol read the note  he couldn't help but  'think where was Polnareff?' He soon figured it out that maybe he was at the farmers market going on downtown. Avdol got excited because he was helping a friend who worked there work his stand! Maybe he would see Polnareff, Avdol hoped he would. Avdol couldn't help but grin from ear to ear. Avdol felt they had grown closer these last few days. He tried to casually flirt with Polnareff but Polnareff always caught on. Avdol was embarrassed everytime  but it made Polnareff smile. Polnareffs smile was like seeing the sunrise for the first time to Avdol. Maybe today he could see Polnareff shine even brighter outside his work. To see Polnareff really be Polnareff. It would be a gift no one else except Polnareff could give. Avdol walked to his friends stand and started working. Polnareff loved the farmers market everyone was so nice and said hi to him. Polnareff bought some fresh vegetables on his way to flower section. He saw Avdol in all his glory. He looked like the sun. 'WHY IS HE SO HOT' thought Polnareff. As much as Polnareff was trying to hide Avdol spotted him. Avdol got so excited he ran over with a smile. He immediately started talking to Polnareff. Polnareff was overwhelmed because of how hot  Avdol looked right now.Avdol had his long locs in a half up half down style. It framed his face almost as well as his t-shirt fit his chest. Avdol wore a green apron that somehow made him look even sexier. Polnareff was taller than Avdol but at this moment he couldn't feel tiny in Avdols presence. Avdol was  entranced at Polnareffs out fit. Polnareff was out of his work uniform. Polnareff wore his black tank top with some nice pants. Seeing Polnareff in this outfit made Avdol go speechless for a second. Soon he started to speechless again "I am so glad to see you Polnareff!!! My friend is running a stand over there! When I saw your note this morning I got excited because I might see you here!!" "Really?? Why?" Polnareff genuinely surprised by Avdol. "Obviously cause you're my favorite person to talk to during the day!" Advol says with a grin on his face. "You're quite funny Avdol ever wanted to be a comedian?" "No but if you wanted me to I would" Polnareff blushes but carries on the conversation. "So when is your brake?" Avdol looks at his watch " right now" Avdol says with a grin. "Wanna walk around then and find something to eat?" Polnareff says with a grin. Avdol was a but shocked but none the less kept grinning at Polnareff. Avdol told his friend he was leaving for lunch. Avdol an Polnareff left to find food. They were so happy to be in each other's company they could barely make conversation. But Avdol saw a cute sun hat that Avdol thought would suit Polnareff. So Avdol pulled Polnareff to the hat rack he was looking at and put the hat in Polnareff.
The hat messed up Polnareffs hair but that somehow made him cuter. Polnareff was confused "why did you put this hat in me it messed up my hair?!" Polnareff whined. Avdol only giggled hiding his true thoughts. " I just thought it suits you since you know... you garden" Avdol said awkwardly. It was finally Polnareffs turn to giggle at his counter parts words. "You sure thats all you thought?" He whispers into Avdols ear then turning to walk towards the cashier to buy the hat. 'How is he so good at that?!' thought Avdol. Avdol stood in aw while Polnareff walked back to Avdol. " I got the hat and I talked to the cashier and someone is selling some fresh sandwiches just a few booths down!"says Polnareff. " That sounds amazing I have a place we can eat how about you get the food and I set up the place?" says Avdol."why would you need to set it up?"asks Polnareff "its a surprise how about that just meet me here in 10 minutes ok?" Avdol says happily. " alright ok Avdol I trust you just this once I will go and get the food." Polnareff hiding his grin walking towards the food booth. Avdol is so happy he wants to shout but he remains calm and buys everything he needs.
    ~10 minutes later~
Polnareff is waiting for Avdol and waves him over. "Sooooo what did you sneak off to do hmmmmmm" Polnareff says in a cheeky voice while leaning on Avdol. "its still a surprise so I can't tell you flower boy" Avdol says smugly flicking Polnareffs forhead. Avdol leads them to a forest slightly overgrown. Avdol excitedly lead Polnareff towards his surprise. Before they got there Avdol wrapped his hands over Polnareffs eyes. "Why did you close my eyes Avdol" "because I want to, count it as pay back for whispering in my ear." Avdol is to good at being smug for such a nice guy. Once they got there Avdol finally let Polnareff see what he had been lead to. It was a stunning old abandoned gazebo. It was covered in vines,moss, and even some flowers! This felt like a dream to Polnareff. Polnareff had stars in his eyes from his amazement in the beauty of the gazebo. Something that has been untouched by humans and only by nature. That truly amazed Polnareff to his core. "I was walking with a friend and saw this from the corner of my eyes. It reminded me of you. Beautiful yet mysterious." Avdol says stepping closer to Polnareff. "I could say the same about you Avdol" " I guess you could." Avdol says looking up into Polnareffs eyes. Polnareff was shocked by Avdol and couldn't even come up with something to combat that."Why don't we sit down and eat" Polnareff says nervously. "That sounds wonderful I am starving" Avdol laughs heartily while sitting down. Polnareff sits down across from Avdol then sets the food down. "The food looks do good!" Avdol says basically drooling. They both are starving and dig in quickly. The food is demolished quickly. "Polnareff may I ask you a question?" "Yeah sure! What's the matter?" "This is very serious what is your favorite food?" Avdol says with a smile. "Since this is VERY important I would have to say probably ratatouille". "I will have to buy some so I can try some!"says Avdol.  "Pffft- no need I can just make you it. I would make my younger sister ratatouille all the time!" "you have a younger sister?!" "Yeah..." Polnareff says sadly. "is everything ok with you and your sister sorry if I am intruding!" "You can say we split and haven't talked" said Polnareff smiling. Avdol got up and sat next to Polnareff then gave him a hug. Polnareff froze, Avdols hug felt so nice. Polnareff tried to not melt in Avdols arms but Avdol wouldn'let that happen. Polnareff melted in his arms and hugged him back tightly. "Thank you Avdol I didn't know I needed this" says Polnareff. "Anytime my flower, you looked like you needed a hug." They stayed like that for the rest of Avdols break. They packed up and left, they weren't the same as before in a good way though! Both tried to sleep but failed each time. Both ended the day with deeper feelings for each other than before.
