talking about this cause I'm going through apollo's book & this crossed my mind

at this point I'm pretty sure I want kids, whether biologically or adopted

and I think the main reason I want to have kids and be a parent is so I can break the cycle of basically borderline abuse

I want my kids to have a parent they feel they can talk to, who will listen to them, who will actually take some time to try and understand them and communicate with them

something my parents never did and barely try to do

I also heard one woman say that when you do this with your kids when it wasn't done with you, you heal your inner child

so I honestly think this is the main reason I want kids
