I sat on a step outside of the pearly white building, each chiseled pattern engraved in the quartz showed some obvious dirt smudges from the shoes that have walked it before. Although this building and its stairway was pretty, I found myself with a lack of care what the architecture was due to the circumstances.
I hadn't sat there for very long, but either way no signs of life presented itself to me and a shuffling in the bushes had woken me from my slumber of anxiety. The forest next to me appeared like all others of the dark, mysterious, and depressing.
I had been looking at it for some time before a brightly colored fox, fur a yellow-ish brown color, had staired back at me as its head poked out of a berry bush. Once I finally had a good look at the thing, I noticed a black, leathery book in its mouth. Before I could respond to the situation properly it averted back into the forest making a shrill as it ran. What was it holding?
I wanted to go back to thinking because quite frankly I really wanted to dip my head back into my lap, digging myself a deeper hole but lately nothings been going my way, and come on! this is the oldest trick in the book, an old explorer goes back to adventuring because of a mysterious calling with and or about some silly finding.
There were two things stopping me from sitting there longer, the first? we'll as the saying goes curiosity kills the cat. I had sat there only a few seconds before my chest started hammering and my heart aching. All that followed to the second reason, a classic with adventure types.
"Dipper~" A hollow voice, one you'd here in a horror movie called out to me. "You know you want to Dipper~" I knew I wanted to; Miss voice lady knew I wanted to in-fact just about anybody could read this decision of mine like looking through the clearest window, one as transparent as they get. I had every idea what I was about to get into, every single direction this could go in so when the lady spoke again it was expect of me to comply. "Run."
Some Time Later

You know how in every classical book the person or persons goes on some crazy lunatic adventure, and it take forever to solve the thing? how it takes several days if not months to get yourself or others out of that massive problem? if I pray hard enough that might not happen to me. I was currently running through an unfamiliar, thick, dark forest chasing a small, helpless fox, fighting, over a leather book that a mysterious lady told me to go after. How stupid, right?
I had managed to trap the thing in a corner, but my breath had been left behind as I ran. Gasping for any oxygen that the earth wanted to give me, I stood there for a few minutes. The fox gave me this look, one that read of wonder and filled with questions as if it didn't know what being tired meant or what exhaustion was, I kind of hated that.
I glared at the tiny animal, one I considered a rodent and contemplated sticking my hand out. Until I realized something, the sun was going down I had been chasing this thing for hours, the book wasn't even mine and I acted like the fox had stolen something from me all because my curiosity had gotten the better of me, again. "You know how crazy I look chasing a fox around the forest? and! it gets wors as I am asking it for the book everyone here knows I don't own?" I sat down in front of it, it was still trapped, and I stuck my hand out farther than I knew it should go wondering if it'll give me the thing willingly.
For a few moments I sat there asking myself why was I doing this? why did the fox want the book? and in fact why did I want the book? It huddled itself in a ball glancing at me with a look of terror, it looked fake, and the same leather book in its mouth. It glanced at me every few seconds.
"I'm not going to hurt you, little dude."
"Squeak." That one scared me! Now what you may not know is the fox said squeak, he didn't make the sound, he didn't make the sound in some form of fox type accent or anything and I don't actually think foxes can mock sounds like that. "Squeak." Doing it again, sounding like a human, male to be more specific and as I sat there in utter shock the fox openly repeated the sound with all the confidence it was the correct noise to make.
"What the-" I was speechless to be frank with you, I didn't know what to do, what to say. "I know foxes can mimic other animals but last I checked. they can't imitate a human or there acescent." I can't tell you the details of what happened next, but I can tell you that as I ran off into the woods back in the direction where I had hopefully come from, I was holding the decaying book in my hands and a lot of questions in my heart.

Above is the full version of what Bill Cipher was singing in 'Weirdmageddon 3: Take Back the Falls', this is the song "We'll meet again." This particular song is mostly known for being sang in some historical television shows and movies, one example being 'Dr. Strangelove'.
The picture above is the interpretation of what Tad Strange would look like in this book. I did not draw this but if anyone finds who did please notify me so I can give credit to the artist.
