The Confession

I awoke to see that I was still holding Janet in my arm.

But not spooning her,

I'm cuddling her.

It was around 2 am,

and all I could think was...

' is Janet has a crush on that Aussie bartender? '

' And.. '

' Yes, I'm getting a bit little jealous of that fucking Aussie bartender. '

' But, of course, I can't say it out loud. '

As I snap out of my thoughts,

I look down at Janet whimpering.

I put my hand on her cheeks and rubbed it gently,

it seems to ease her whimpers.

" Shh, it's okay I got you. "

" Katrina... Don't leave... I still love you. "

I look down in shock at what I was hearing.

' Janet... Does she love me? '

" Katrina... "

" I got you, Janet, I got you. "

I said while holding her tightly.

" I love you... Katrina. "

She said mumbling in her sleep.

" I love you too Janet. "

I whisper

while letting out a little sob.

She woke up as she hear my sobs.

" What happens, Kat? "

She asks while staring at me.

" N-Nothing.. Just go back to sleep, it's like.. around 2 am. "

I said.

" It is a thing Katrina, I hear you sob. "

" Please don't lie to me, I'm your friend, Katrina. "

She said.

" I-I just hear you mumbling in your sleep. "

I said to her.

I see her blush.

" W-What? What am I mumbling? "

She said, asking me.

I look her in the eye.

" You said, you love me. "

I said as tears began to escape from my eyes.

She looks at me in shock.

She knew I never let out an expression.

I saw her face now turning three shades of red.

" Don't cry, Katrina... Sorry but... I-I really mean it... I do love you. "

I make eye contact with her for a few seconds.

" Y-You really mean it? "

" Yes, I do. "

She said, looking up at me with a sad face.

" Me, too. "

I said while looking at her.

" You too? Wait- You do love me? "

" Yes, you idiot. "

I said while cupping her cheeks.

She kissed me,

and I kissed her back.

It's not a sexual kiss,

it's a tender kiss.

I gently pull the kiss.

" So it's mean- "

" Yes. "

I said.

" Now let's go sleep, I'm still tired af. "

I said.

She nods as she snuggles into my chest.

" Goodnight, Princess. "

I said as I lean down a kiss her forehead.

" Night. "

She said, whispering.

I hold her tightly.

And close my eyes,

and drives asleep.
