CHAPTER 8

A few days passed.

Seungkwan was discharged. Once out of the hospital he decided he wanted to go see Vernon's grave and asked Jihoon to come with him. It didn't take long for them to arrive and find the stone with Vernon's name etched on it and a photograph.

"Ver... Vernon... I'm here my love" Seungkwan pauses to sob.

"I... I would have liked to see you again as... as ... a strong boy and son ... smile... as I normally saw you always... but... but, it's... you're taking care certain?" he pauses.

"Maybe I'll find a new love... but no one will be like you... no one will match you... Vernon I miss you so much... your bear hugs... your messages of encouragement... your smile... everything… I learned many things, thanks to you, I love you… I will always love you… thanks for everything…everything" the crying beat Seungkwan and finally he cried without stopping.

Seeing Seungkwan like that made Jihoon feel a huge hole in his heart  and again Jihoon trailed off.

"I'm already bored"

Scoups had already read the same book about five times. So he turned it on TV but what to see.

"Really? How many more days am I going to be out of work? Should I go out to get bored a bit? Not a bad idea." Scoups got up from the bed grabbed his keys and walked out.

Scoups was so happy with life when suddenly he sees Jihoon sitting on the ground looking down Scoups was surprised and approached him knowing that something could be wrong.

"Hello Jihoon" Scoups said.

"H...hello officer" Jihoon said.
"Ah you can call me Scoups. I guess for now. I'm not an officer not even a policeman... Are you okay?"

"Yeah...I'm fine" Jihoon answered.

"Well how about we walk together. Take a tour?"

Somehow Scoups knew Jihoon wasn't okay and wanted to cheer him up but he saw that Jihoon had no reaction.

"Jihoon come on please.  I'd like to be a 16 year old with you again well you're 16 years old. I'm not anymore but I'd like to be 16 again, okay?"

"Because I?" Jihoon asked softly.

"Because you're the only guy I want to learn from," Scoups replied.

"Tell me something about yourself" Scoups waited for Jihoon to speak but he remained silent so he can't do it any other way.

"Come on" Scoups took Jihoon's hand and stood up making Jihoon stand up too.

"I'm going to teach you something. Do you like animals?" Jihoon nodded.

"Come then join me."

"Ah..."

Jihoon was going to say something for Scoups to leave him alone but Scoups was faster and started to walk quickly holding Jihoon's hand without listening to what Jihoon was saying. Jihoon tried to let go but Scoups held him. I was grabbing very hard and everything I tried was useless.

"We arrived!" Scoups looked at Jihoon and saw that he was staring off into space.

"What are you thinking, Ji?" Scoups asked.

"And... me? Nothing... I'm just sleepy" Jihoon replied.

"Then I'll take you out for coffee first." Scoups grabbed Jihoon's hand and tried to walk but Jihoon didn't move.

"So I go out, Jihoon?"

"Why?..Why are you doing this?" Jihoon asked.

"Jihoon. I do because I know you're wrong. You've been having a hard time. I'll support you like one friend supports another" Scoups replied.
