On the way

Right now they were driving off to the mountains. Felix was driving. They were all enjoying, having fun and listening to songs played in the car. Meanwhile Jebi was lost in her deep thoughts, looking outside the car window, seeming so tensed. Daisy called her many times but when she didn't listen to her, she shook and Jebi gave her a boring look. Daisy asked "Are you ok? You seem so tensed? Anything wrong?" They all diverted themselves towards her. She turned back and started looking outside again.

"Are you rather feeling bored with us? We still haven't reached so far. If you wanna go back home, we can go." said Johan being unsure of Jebi's mind.

She nodded her head negatively and said "It's just that this is my first time being alone on a trip without Yunie Mom and I don't know what am I being nervous of right now. "

All were kinda shocked to see Jebi opening up with them out of nowhere. I mean it would be very weird for anyone when someone who doesn't even speak anything suddenly says this. However, since they were so excited for this trip,  they ignored this and started minding their own business.

Their destination was 108 km away from her house. They had covered 29 km and now it was time to change the driver. They stopped by a small shop that sold light snacks for tourists coming there. They ordered some food and beverages for themselves and bought some chips and cold drinks for the further journey. While they were resting for sometime, something caught Jebi's attention. It was a magazine stall next to the shop. Looked like the shopkeeper owned it. She had always loved reading. Especially books and magazines that were based on vampires, Dracula, mysteries and thrillers. She was looking for an interesting magazine when her eyes landed on a particular book "THE SECRET OF THAT HOUSE". She picked it up and started going through it. And yes it was her taste. She paid for it and brought it for herself. She came and sat where everyone else was sitting. They were chit- chatting while eating. That's when Jebi felt someone was watching them from the distant road. She turned back and saw... nothing? She thought that it was her hallucination. She ignored it and digged in her food.

She did not know that they were being observed by someone. Who was that, no know had any idea about it.

She <not Jebi> looked at them, smiled and vanished?

Now it was Jebi's turn to drive. She drove for 45 minutes and stopped the car abruptly.

She said "I don't wanna drive anymore. Can someone else drive?"

They doubtfully agreed and it was Daisy's turn.

They were peacefully sitting and enjoying the view with some light music going on in the background. In the meantime Jebi was concentrating on reading the book. She was so engrossed into it and found it very interesting. She liked the way how the author had described everything so beautifully.

"The SNOWBLOOD MOUNTAINS was a cursed place. The abandoned house there made it the most wicked place ever. Whosoever visited that place never came back. People who did camping over there always felt some creepy noises at night and would always avoid staying at that place after it started turning dark. It was believed that the place was initially the house of psychopath who would kill people if they tried disturbing him. Even if he was dead now, there was some negative and invisible energy that would kill people. It is said that the house exists since the 15th century where Samuel Barclay had burnt the outcasts alive. "  That's what she read in the book.

Samuel Barclay was one of the pilgrims and founding father of the place Snowblood which used to be a small town. He wanted to wipe all the outcasts and obliterate each and everyone of them.

"Guys which mountains were we going again?" Jebi interrupted.

Johan replied, "SNOWBLOOD mountains. You forgot?"

Jebi widened her eyes in pure shock.

Was she really gonna go to the place which is technically a place of paranormal activities?

Will they return home safely?

She shrugged off the negative thoughts and presumed that the story was a fiction. To divert her mind from that conceptualisation, she looked out of the window and enjoyed the view.

She closed her eyes for sometime where she suddenly visualised something.

A man..... Coming close to her........ His fangs out........ Nothing was clear.........

She bumped into the front seat. She opened her eyes with a jerk to see that they had reached the place......
