Prologue

          Six years ago

            Reneé POV

The sound of gunshots filled the air as fear washed over me,I stood at the top of the stairs staring at the door that looked like it would be pulled out from it's hinges very soon due to the amount of force put on it by the person on the other side trying to break in,before I could say a word I was grabbed from behind as a large hand was placed over my mouth to muffle any sounds I planned on making,I didn't really struggle with my captor cause it seemed like he was trying to save me and not the other way around,
"My mum and dad"I managed to say as the hand left my mouth,

"Princess stay quiet,your parents sent me to make sure you are safe,so please stay here till I come to get you and don't open the door if it isn't me,ok" Jack,my personal bodyguard and friend said,

"Jack, what's happening"I asked feeling tears fighting to fall from my eyes,

"Don't cry, everything is fine"he cooed trying to calm me down but the uncertainty in his voice could not be missed,

"I'm scared,I want my momma"I admitted as a stray tear fell from my eyes,

"Stay,I will go get her for you"he said leaving the dark room locking the door behind him,I crawled to end of the room placing my back on the wall as I let my tears fall,I don't understand what's happening,

I could hear the gunshots but faintly this time around but no one seemed to realise I was in here because no one came this side,
The gunshots suddenly came to an abrupt end as I heard sirens which only meant one thing,the police,

"Princess"I heard someone call out to me making me walk to the door,it snapped open to reveal Jack looking all bloody and bruised but he gave me a faint smile stretching his hand out for me to grab which I did without hesitation,

"Come with me,your momma sent me to get you"he said with a look in his eyes that gave me a very bad feeling which I quickly pushed to the back of my mind,

We walked through the messed up hallways that was utterly quiet,as we passed my Pappa's study a gasp left my lips at the sight,the whole place was a mess, books and files scattered everywhere,broken glasses from the window littered the ground,

"Come on"Jack said tugging on my hand so I could follow him,

We got to the living room and I shrieked,I looked up to Jack who was trying so hard to keep a strong face but you could tell he was affected too, people in white ran up and down carrying bodies of people I couldn't recognize while some looked like my Dad's bodyguards,I just stared in shock as they passed me untill two men passed carrying a body I can even recognize in my sleep, letting my body act before my brain I ran after them ignoring Jack's continuous call for me to come back,I followed them to a big truck well it looked like an ambulance with the red cross drawn on it,I ran to the back where they placed his body beside another body covered in white cloth, feeling a kind of pull towards the other body I slowly pulled the white cloth off with my eyes shut closed as I prayed silently in my heart,
As I slowly opened my eyes everything stopped around me as my heart rate suddenly increased,a loud ringing was all I heard as I stared at my both parents covered with bruises and blood not moving,

No. No. No
"Momma,Pappa"I whispered still trying to take in the sight before me,

"They will be fine Princess"I heard someone say but the person sounded so far away,I couldn't make out my sorrounding, it felt like I was in another world of my own,

"You said my Momma asked you to get me"I finally said but I doubt he heard me,

"They will be fine they just need medical attention"he said but I wasn't having any of it, they aren't breathing,
