Chris' and Aylin's days were coloured with each other's uncanny presence. The scenario of them constantly strangling each others neck and brains was endless. But even when their time together ended, their thoughts would always return to each other. A few days had passed. Aylin never let out an opportunity to make Chris hate her and Chris would always dodged her efforts of doing so. As promised to herself, Aylin used her tricks of driving a teacher crazy on Chris. Ah- if only they worked.

"So, this is how you do it. Get it?" Chris asked after explaining an equation.

"Okay but how do we know we need to do this before this? Can't we solve this first? Looks more convenient." Aylin asked a question to which she would already know the answer of.

Chris sighs tiredly. "Ever heard of BODMAS? Or should we take you back to 5th grade?"

"You think I'm that dumb?" Aylin cross-questions.

"Nah, I don't think you're dumb. All I think is how some babies were dropped on their head. But you were clearly thrown at the wall."

She did it on purpose, her sole purpose being to annoy Chris. If you want to annoy a teacher, ask too many basic-as-heck questions. Make them tired of explaining elementary school stuff to a high school student. Teachers expect you to have basic knowledge and when you prove to them that you don't even have that much, it takes a toll on their patience.
But Chris wasn't exactly as bothered by it as much Aylin wanted him to be. But she had other tricks too.

Aylin had just solved a worksheet Chris had given her to solve.

Chris looked at it and started checking the answers. A few seconds in and he was rubbing his forehead as if to ease a headache.

"How many more times left for you to repeat the same mistake? We've been through this quite a few times already Aylin. This is not how you do it. You're repeating your mistakes again."

As expected of Aylin those repeated mistakes were intentional. Chris knew that too. He has known she's smart from the very start. But he doesn't point her tactics out. When someone genuinely doesn't know the right way, you would still want to help them. But when they are intentionally messing things up, it's irritating and the supportive feeling is not really there. And Aylin knew that Chris knows this is intentional. Repeating the same mistakes over and over again is another powerful way to agonize a tutor. They might tell you to let them know when a doubt arises as many times as you want, but they sure lack the tolerance to repeat what they taught once when it is asked multiple times.

This was the 8th time Chris was explaining the same thing, he was still calm. Aylin could swear that if Chris was a material, he would be tagged as 'heavy duty, long lasting'.

Other times Aylin would try her best and confuse Chris by taking out pieces of information from here and there and sticking them onto something else. And it would make total sense. Thanks to Aylin's good knowledge in Math, she could misuse it to turn her tutor's head-space into a seeming trash can. But Chris would not get wavered by it. His concepts were clear and he knew what comes from where. And he would start giving Aylin her answers which she so didn't want.

"Now do you understand how it happened?" Chris would always ask Aylin if she was keeping up with him before moving on. He always looked for a comfortable expression on her face that would show that she is question-free. It's a small gesture but honestly, it's a huge help to learners in general. Aylin greatly appreciated that on the inside.

Sometimes Aylin would get bored of him explaining Math to her that she already know. He was really good at it, but thanks to Aylin and her antics he would have to touch concepts too childish.
